After a busy Saturday, looked on Open Table as a last minute attempt to find a place for dinner. Saw K Club, which I was unfamiliar with, and noticed that absolutely all time slots were available, which is unusual for a good restaurant. The menu looked good so we decided to give it a try. Great decision! We sat in the bar area, which is beautiful and has a warm atmosphere. Started off with some cocktails and had the Mediterranean plate, mushroom bisque soup and pimento cheese with pork rinds for appetizers. All of it was outstanding, with the bisque being equal to the best I've ever had, anywhere. For the main course, my wife had the filet, which was perfectly prepared and delicious, according to her. I was in the mood for a good burger so when the Chef brought it out and said it would be one of the best I've ever had, I had pretty high expectations. Let me just say that I'm 52 years old, I've eaten thousands of burgers, and this is the very first time I have EVER eaten a burger without using ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce or myriad other condiments (I'm a sauce addict). As soon as I took a bite, it was absolutely perfect as it was. The aioli and bacon jam gave it a slightly sweet taste and the amount of each was the perfect mix with the outstanding quality of meat. Putting anything else on it would have diminished it. He was correct in his bold prediction because I've never had a better burger. I didn't get a chance to sample the desserts, only because I was too full from the rest of the food.
The only possible reason this place was wide open for reservations is because it isn't well known-yet. Once more people discover it, and the subsequent word of mouth spreads, it won't be so easy to get a table. The food is that good. We most definitely...
Read moreWow, wow, wow. Such a hidden gem. My husband and I went here for a date night around 5pm on a Monday night. From the moment you walk in you are served with exceptional service. The decor is luxurious with a unique creative twist. Our server was charming. More importantly to me he was accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu. He gave is his recommendations and even spoke to the chef to see what they could do for my gluten and dairy allergy. I ordered the sea bass it was delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken gonnichi. Everything was made from scratch. He said it had mexican flavor to it that he really liked. The prices are around $32 to $39 a plate. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures. There is outdoor dining with a nice view. They also have a rooftop bar which we didn't have time that day to visit. The food is very good. The atmosphere was relaxing. The staff are friendly and very professional. Everyone seems happy to work there. You have to try it for yourself. It is such a great place for a romantic dinner or celebrating a special occasion. My husband and I will be back for...
Read moreThe waitress / bartender , ignored me for almost 20 minutes as I sat at a table away from the bar . After not being served , I moved to a high top table next to the bar . It took another 10 minutes for her to engage and offer me a menu . The menu was offered while she carried 2 drinks to another table , without fully engaging me. I ordered the filet . It took another 20 minutes before the meal arrived . The steak was cold ,and potatoes were cold to warm ( in some places ) . Very disappointed in this high end restaurant presentation and behavior of the bartender/ waitress. Perhaps in the future there should be a dedicated waitress , to serve customers who do not sit at the bar . In addition , please hire staff who are culturally sensitive , and engaged in providing customer service with dignity and respect .I felt ignored , although eye contact was made throughout this dreadful...
