Traveled here last week with another couple for a seminar being hosted at this hotel. I booked a balcony room overlooking the pond. We are loyal to the Hilton brand so room selection and check in was a breeze on the app. After our plane from Dallas was delayed several hours, walking straight to my room was highly rewarding. The king size room was clean with a sitting room and appeared it could be adjoined with rooms on either side to make a suite. Ideal for large families. The pros: Front desk ladies were very helpful! Proximity to the airport is

If you like mazes, this is the place to be! Stayed at the High Rise building, which is toward the back, and took a bit of work to get to. I was expecting twins on a tricycle at every turn. I eventually arrived in my room, after a few wrong turns and I was actually pleasantly surprised. It was cozy, warm, and very spacious. Had a wonderful view of the small lake out back, surrounded by a blanket of snow. The freeway, although, visible was not heard through the windows. The hallways were quiet. There was absolutely no noise. However, some sections on first floor hallway, smelled like cigarette smoke.
The bed was comfortable but the pillows were superb! Absolutely satisfying and amazing. Need to find some for myself.
There outlets all over the room, including USB connections. The bathroom was small but clean and it served its purpose. I was satisfied with the room and the front desk service. If Iâm I the area again, I most likely will stay here again.
Note, the elevators on the High Rise building are some of the slowest elevators Iâve encountered. If youâre in a rush, youâre better off taking the stairs. Great Lake views.
With The Club Bar and the Lakeview Restaurant on site, it was incredibly convenient. I usually have to leave my hotel to find something to eat. And being that there was a storm with lots of snow, the last thing I wanted to do, was drive. So grateful.
I ordered the local blonde on tap. It was refreshing and crisp. Before my meal, I was curious in the clam chowder so I ordered a cup of it. It was surprisingly packed with flavor. Thick and creamy with a slight spice to it. The chowder had big chunks of potato and clams. I think my only critique, it that it couldâve been hot or at least more warm. Other than that, thatâs pretty much it. It was fantastic. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with regular fries. It came with a Dijon style sauce, but I did not need it. It was perfect.
For breakfast, though, I wasnât at all satisfied. Due to the insane snowing, I decided to eat in. I am a bit bewildered as to how I just paid $22 for a glass of orange juice, 2 small pancakes, 1 sausage link, 2 strips of bacon and a small spoon-scoop of potatoes. Maybe itâs the accommodations and the convenience. But I can get that plate for half the price and with more food. Lesson learned, to ask first but I certainly wasnât expecting that bill. Iâd love to return to this hotel; I just wonât have...
Read moreI hope management sees this. On Monday November 13th I checked into this hotel with my 2 y/o, checked out very early 14th. Upon arriving at the airport we found her favorite stuffy Cookie Monster was not with us. It was left at the hotel. I immediately called the hotel and spoke to a lady at the desk. Explained the situation and she assured me they had the Cookie Monster. I asked if they would hold it till Thursday when we flew back to SLC. She said absolutely. Well here I am now at 11pm. I called from the economy lot to ensure I wasnât wasting my time with a tired 2 y/o, an employee answered the phone (the voice was the exact same one as the pierced employee) said they had the stuffy. I excitedly drove over, telling my toddler we were picking up her stuffy. Walked in. Only to be faced by two very âconfusedâ employees, one was the familiar voice. They claimed the phone never rang up at the desk. I asked how that was possible because I just spoke to them and they said her toy was there. They claimed the number I called wasnât directed to the desk. Another guest checking in let me call the number with his phone, sure enough, it rang at the desk, employee answered. That made all of us raise our eyebrows.
Another employee walked in and said it was there but now itâs gone. What gets me is the lack of integrity. 11pm. Iâm a mom with a toddler now screaming in the car because we left the hotel without her promised stuffy. Currently ordering another one. But Iâve never had people lie straight to my face like that.
It sounds like an employee brought it home and didnât want to admit this. That is clearly stealing.
For this reason, I will never stay at this hotel again. As a HILTON HONORS MEMBER, I am extremely disappointed in the staff lying.
If management would like to discuss this more Iâd be happy to. I would also be open to receiving compensation for the stolen item.
Thank you. Photo includes the call time, the quick answer and perhaps we can see if the...
