This is a Guest BEWARE PROPERTY!!

Car parked in front row, 10ish cars from front entrance.
UNSAFE area of town "PER POLICE OFFICER", hotel isn't involved in detouring crime ON THIER PROPERTY!!!
Window busted out, ignition/Steering column ripped apart "attempted Car Theift". ($500 deductible, spendy hotel right??)
Staff attempted to assist. Tried to review video footage. No help, unable to see anything. SUB PER SYSYEM, HOTEL, NOT OWNING CRIME ON HOTEL PROPERTY.
............ INSTEAD............. Placing sign on front door DOES NOT REMOVE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF HOTEL TO DO ALL THEY SHOULD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have LEFT SEEING THE SIGN hotel not owning issue on their property. "POSTED ON FRONT DOOR". TIRED, not knowing how terrible the area is!! AND ONCE BOOOKED, YOU WON'T GET YOUR MONEY BACK. They actually put a sign on the front door "don't leave valuables in car"
making it the car owners issue "while on thier property, in their building "ASLEEP". Washing your hands FROM OWNING THIS & helping police catch these criminals ....
"THIS IS ON YOU PROPERTY OWNER, ALL WITHIN YOUR HANDS TO CORRECT".
AND ORBITZS ALSO AREN'T OWNING THERE PART, ONCE PAID "ORBITZS A HUGE COMPANY" WONT RETURNS YOUR MONEY IF YOU DECIDE THE PROPERTY IS UNSAFE TO STAY AT!!!!!!!!!!
If this puts this hotel out of business,
ITS ON YOU "hotel owners" OWN THE ISSUE??
OR will THE PROPERTY OWNERS thoughts be "how dare this person write this negative review". From the looks on the hotel staffs face and how hard they attempted to help me "it was unhelpful, to the fact the hotel owner/management are not doing all they can"......
As we travel is a Sad way to learn travel BS "like a travelers mind isn't already overwhelmed". Travel industry, you collect all the crap info "TAKE IT OFF THE TRAVELERS SHOULDER" you have all the info FIX IT,...
Read moreUpdate to the following post Well nothing was done because my room was prepaid. The excuse I was given was "the housekeeper probably didn't understand you because she doesn't speak English". 1st of all, what the heck does that have to do with me. She knew how to say okay and shake her head to acknowledge me...Whats the point of having staff work at your hotel who aren't bilingual nor can commicate effectively with guests. Seesh!
I stayed for 4 nights at this hotel for my son's Airforce BMT ceremony/graduation at Lackand AFB.Checking in was a breeze and the breakfast was okay...it was complimentary so no complaints there. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I really didn't care for the rooms though. Mine (room 201) had an ordor. I couldn't figure out if it was a wet mildew-ish or stale smell because the carpet and and chair needed to be steamed cleaned. I had to Lysol and febreeze my room before leaving and upon returning in the evenings. The carpet looked dirty (even though it was dark colored) as well as the carpet throughout the hotel (especially in the stairwell). They should actually steam clean throughout the entire hotel. It just smelled stale. What really pissed me off is housekeeping failed to clean my room, make the best and take out the trash on my last day. The lady came by around 10ish and I told her give us about 10-15 minutes as we were in the process of putting on clothes. When we left the room (around 1030ish/1100) I let her know that we were done and leaving for the day (she was across the hall cleaning) and she said okay. To our surpise that evening when we got in after 10pm, nothing was done to the room. I had to go down to the front desk to get towels and trash bags. They lady also asked if I wanted another set of sheets for our two double queens (well heck no, I was too tired to change linen after being out all day). The front desk lady was very kind and accommodating. She said she'd leave a note with management about the incident. I don't know what exactly is going to be done about it, but if anything...i'll post an update. Will I ever stay here again or even at a Best Western chain. Absolutely not!...
Read moreFirst, if you are uncomfortable with a property photocopying and filing a copy of your ID, please choose a different property. ||I found this property’s practice of photocopying guest’s IDs unheard of and unnecessary. I travel frequently and every reputable hotel brand and property simply asks for your ID to confirm your identity matches your reservation, but this property goes an extra step and photocopies and files your ID. And to be clear, I recently returned from an 8 night road trip out west and every single hotel brand and property (including a Best Western) simply asked for and confirmed my ID and immediately handed my ID back to me without photocopying it.||Now to my stay. The room (#417) was comfortable but the bathroom had an obvious mold and mildew problem on the walls and ceiling. The mold and mildew were clearly visible so the problem has obviously been ignored by the cleaning staff. In addition, there was a dirty towel and pair of socks in the bathroom left over from a previous stay.||The breakfast was okay. The mini waffles were good, but the breakfast potatoes were bland and mushy. The coffee was decent, but the OJ was labeled 100% juice but was simply sugary orange drink. Lastly, the guest elevator opened into the housekeeping laundry room on the first floor forcing guests to exit through the laundry room. Makes you wonder if that’s a safety hazard.||And back to my first point. I reached out to Best Western (BW) Customer Service to report this property’s practice of photocopying and filing guest’s IDs and to request an explanation about this practice. In response, I received the usual corporate mumble-jumble word salad, “we understand your concerns and the importance of protecting our guests privacy. Below is a link of our policies.” Yet, the referenced policy does not address the photocopying, filing, and securing of guest’s IDs. So thanks, but no thanks, BW. I definitely won’t stay at this BW property again and may reconsider future BW stays elsewhere if this is...
