This review is more of a continuation of negative experiences that I (and family) have experienced at this location. First, let me say, I have always embraced and loved the “Hooters” experience. The relaxed ambiance, the chance to meet with friends and laugh and shoulder to shoulder enjoy good camaraderie, and, for me, very enjoyable comfort food. Over the years I have noticed, nationwide, that the “Hooters” experience never disappoints. That is, with the exception of this location. The family and I have experienced numerous, on-going negative experiences from everything to poor food quality to poor service. One would ask, why keep going back?” In a word- convenience.
That is until today. Recently (last month), while at lunch, I had my vehicle broken into in this locations parking lot. Obviously, realizing that there is little an establishment could do to rectify a situation as that, I did opt to give the location one more chance; that last (and final) day was today
I typically will visit an establishment for lunch around usually 2-3 PM. My schedule tends to open up then and I also find that the lunch “crowd’ has diminished somewhat. Today was no different. I was at the bar and noted approx 6 patrons. The serve was a person who I have seen before in the past and had perceived an incredible over-inflated attitude of having an experienced level being greater than they truly are. I cannot tell you a name (“name tags” have “fictitous” names on them- maybe in the interest of avoiding negative comments they can claim “anonymity”)- but we can call the person “SpongeBob”. The initial ordering experience was uneventful and game me a chance to work on some paperwork waiting for my order. I casually noted a patron come in about 10 mins after me and become part of a crowd that was already established. I couldn’t help but observe how the server was VERY interested in the group (3 people) and enjoyed nice, lengthy interaction w/ little interest in the rest of the individuals at the bar (a very common occurrence at this establishment I have noted). In the interim I noted another customer coming in and showing off boxes of chocolates of course giving one to the server. Of course, this means we have to open the box, sample and talk about the chocolates with her 3 favorite customers. After some more time has passed. I noted that the patron who had just arrived, received her order almost immediately (strangely very closely at to mine in type of order). Time continued to elapse and finally after almost a half hour (for 1 salad), I was reaching the decision to depart. I think the server senses my displeasure and walked around back and finally brought he salad. Hmmmm 1 half hour for 1 salad and a beer.
Needless to say, the servers obvious disinterest in caring for other customers had me reach the conclusion that the location really does not value customers and their patronage and made the final decision to not attend this establishment again. I understand businesses (and employers) have off days. This place has NEVER really had an “ON” day.
If you feel the desire ever to “check this place out” I would recommend a long time Latin phrase, “Caveat Emptor”…...
Read moreI went with my brother to eat some wings and our first options was this spot because we like the environment and love the wings but our experience today was far from good.We walked in the establishment and we were waiting by the door to be seated, two waitresses were standing in the middle of the room talking to each other, looked at us and continue the conversation. After a couple of minutes the hostess approached us and escorted us to our seats. There was only 6 tables occupied when we came in the establishment. I looked towards the directions the waitresses were standing and talking to see if maybe they weren’t aware of our presence and one of them was looking straight at our table and at that moment all of them relocated to the other side of the establishment, which Was not visible from the table we were sitting at and continue laughing, talking and standing around. I stood up walked to the bar and asked the bartender if we. Oils heft some one to take out order and that’s when the server,Eden, approached our table after another 5 min with unique look of discomfort in her face. She did not greet us, she did not give us the menu, or offered anything to start with. We order some food and drinks and before I was finish talking Eden walked away so when eden came back I asked her If everything was alright because for me it was not normal that a waitresses treats anyone like this. When she came back she saw me cutting this straw wrapper into small pieces on top of the table, which I was doing to kill the wait time and while I was doing it grabbed them and threw them in the trash. Right after that grabbed the broom and dust pan picked up the rest she dropped on the floor. At this point I was bit confused on why she was treating us like that because I’ve been at this establishment like 2 times within the past year. I though either she is having a bad day or maybe that’s how she treats everyone. Three older guys enter the establishment and the waitress immediately walk to the door, greeted them and took them to their table which was right next to ours. Her attitude and the service she provide was the completely opposite. Same thing happened with another group of gentlemen that walked in and were seated behind us. We were feeling extremely uncomfortable and just wanted to get out of that environment. Every time she approached our table she had this smirk on her face as well. I told her to close us at and she brought back the receipt. When I look over the receipt after she passed the card I noticed there was an additional beer charged and told her to make the corrections. She came back with the corrected copy when I went to grab the pen that was on the table to sign the merchant copy and add the tip she said snatched the pen right of the table told me I didn’t need to sign or add any tip. I’m not sure what bother this young lady about our presence there but it was pretty obvious she did not want to serve us. This was by far one of the worst experience I’ve had with a server....
Read moreI went to Hooters tonight with my family and was extremely disappointed. First off, it was a Sunday evening and it was not packed at all yet the host still looked around like she couldn't find a table for our party of five. It was two hours before closing so I don't know why they were already being picky about seating.
When my wife ordered her Philly she requested that cooked jalapenos be added to it. I told the waitress I wanted some too (but of course repeating it by saying "I want to add cooked jalapenos to mine too"). She said "okay, they come like that already" and walked away quickly. She didn't go over our order to confirm it before leaving our table. We tried to call her back to ask if she heard us right because we knew they didn't but she didn't turn around.
While we were sitting there, our waitress was cleaning up in our area but never cared to look at our cups to see if we needed refills. I had to flag someone down for a refill. I really don't even remember if it was our waitress or not that finally came.
When our food came out someone else brought it. The first thing we noticed was our cooked jalapenos did not come in our food like we asked. Before we could ask for them the girl turned around saying she was going to get the rest of our order. We tried getting her attention so she could have it fixed in one trip but she didn't turn around either. I thought, okay, I'll just let her know when she returns but she didn't come right back. She left and served another table. She went back and forth to them three times before she came back with the rest of our food. More than half of our party was sitting without food and no one wanted to eat before the others because it would have been rude. When she finally came with the rest of our party's food we told her about the mess up on our order and she just took them but didn't give up a heads up on the time it was going to take to fix.
When we finally got a hold of our waitress she only noticed my cup needed a refill and left to get an update on our food like we asked. Our Philly Cheesesteaks had added cooked jalapenos thrown on top instead of remade with the jalapenos to actually add flavor like we wanted. Our food was in the exact same spot as it was when it was taken not to mention colder.
The waitress left and never came back even after countless times of trying to get her attention for refills. It sucks that at these types of places, you only get good service and attention if you go with a group of guys because they are looking for a big tip. Then when you go with a family or a female, you don't even get attention. My friend's girlfriend never got the refill she wanted and we weren't even asked if we were interested in dessert. She just brought...
