Fosters Bar and Grill — Restaurant in San Antonio

Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn down the street an was looking for someplace easy to get to to have some food. Glad we tried this place ( though I was a little unsure of it as the other side of the building is a poker house) . When we walked in several tables were occupied and looked like they had some tasty food. Hubby chose the bacon turkey avocado sandwich with fries. I saw they had bruschetta as well as a Caprice salad. I wanted the grilled tomato cheese sandwich but add the basil and balsamic. They were willing to oblige me, I can tell you that sandwich was AMAZING! The tomato was grilled as well as having caramelized onions. Such a refreshing summer sandwich. Hubby said that his sandwich was tasty as well. Talking to the waitress she had mentioned that they were just starting to establish the resteraunt side of the business I noted that's why there were only 4 reviews so far. If you would like some tasty food give this place a chance as I think you will be pleasantly surprised. (Even if you don't play poker, the resteraunt side of the building is worth a stop for a great meal! ). Also thanks for the recommendations on what to see & do in the area. This place was great. I started a new job in the area and have been trying the local restaurants to see which are good for my lunch hour since I do not know the area well. It was nice and clean and the staff was well mannered and great The owner or Manger even. Helped me adjust my table when I was trying to get comfortable. I had their Chicken Fried Chicken with a side of loaded baked potato and mash potatoes. It was the best I had in a while. The white gravy was nice and creamy and was great on top. I recommend this place for a nice lunch and will be going...

Clean establishment, very friendly staff, amazing food. Accidentally stumbled on this place, and will absolutely be back.
