Our search for a bed started at Living Spaces and our experience was not pleasant with respect to their approach which was, from our experience, "make the sale at any cost." So, my wife and I decided to visit The Mattress Firm that was less than a mile away. Once we entered the store we were met with a warm welcome by a young lady named Tiffany. Tiffany was sincere and had excellent interpersonal skills. At the time we entered the store Tiffany was serving a customer but, she took the time to welcome us and stated that she was serving a customer but, would be with us momentarily.

While waiting for Tiffany another sales person named Charmain asked if she could be of help. Charmain was the essence of friendly, connected with us emotionally, knowledgeable, excellent listening and communication skills. Charmain's whole focus was on what our needs were. She listened intently to what our needs were and answered all of our questions as well as providing critical information that we were not aware of so that we would be able to make the best decision.

I truly received the best education and service in purchasing a new mattress today. I am 66 years old and my husband is 70. We have purchased mattresses throughout our lives since we were each in our late teens living on our own. But we didn’t know what we didn’t know. Jay, the salesman, asked us to give him the space to lead us through the selection process, and we did. He guided us through a number of steps based on his years of mattress sales experience, and at every step, he was completely right on. He helped us cull through many of the options, all the way through to making a final decision. Who knew that mattress selection was such an art and science? Jay knew, and he was impressive. With his knowledge of his craft, great sense of humor, excellent customer service, and his sensitivity to knowing that we needed the space to make the ultimate decision on our own without any pressure, we were truly impressed. As former high school teachers, my husband and I were impressed by how he explained everything and heard us. He would make a great HS teacher, himself! Smart, well thought out explanation, clear in his approach, service oriented, and pleasant as can be. The reps were very accomodating and patiently worked with our 86 years old mother. Once she decided the sale process went quick. We also ordered a bundle package of pillows, heavy duty mattress cover and a sheet set for the closet Matress. The manager George offered us a lower quality protector for free because the one we wanted is not available at the store. All went well until getting th bundle package. We only received 1 pillow instead of 2 and the mattress protector never came. I called and tracked down our rep at other stores but 3 months later, we have the same problem. But in George’s defense he offered us a pickup of the protector in February but when we finished dealing with my mother, the store was already closed and I completely forgot about it. Because I called again in late March, I received a call from George to pickup the protector from the store which I did on Wednesday. We got everything we ordered minus a pillow, which iMa not sure if it really part of the bundle.
