I love The Fairfield Inn and Suites and Marriott brand Hotels in general. Everything was fine until the next morning after arriving late to the hotel the night before . I come to town often to take care of my mother who is ill and needs assistance. I asked for a late check out which was no problem.
House keeping tried to open my door around 9:00 am but was stopped by the security feature on the door. This woke me up after I asked for late check out. I assumed a late cleaning since I was leaving that day and they clean the room after you leave . Anyway, noice from cleaning other rooms aside , I went back to sleep. My phone starting ringing. Didn’t answer it . Phone starting ringing again. So I called the front desk and the girl tells me she was trying to call another room who had requested extra towels . She called my room twice , the wrong room , to check on towels and I had a late check out because I wanted to sleep and had already been woke up once by housekeeping trying to clean my room before my 1:00 pm checkout . Yes this is late. No i didn’t want it because I am lazy. I was up late with my elderly mother and needed the sleep .
I normally get excellent service at all Marriott Brand Hotels . In Fact, I stay at Marriott exclusively because I get such good service and they offer all the amenities that I enjoy when I get to take advantage of them. This will not deter me from staying with Marriott or Fairfield inn in the future. But I think there needs to be a little customer service training in certain areas. This is a beautiful hotel at an affordable price. It has been upgraded and all rooms , bedding, etc, are excellent . My only problems were mentioned above and at the time it was a big deal for me and I believe would be for another customer in a similar situation. The internet was spotty , not huge for me, but for some it would be . I am usually recognized as an elite member or a Marriott Bonvoy card holder. Not this time, but no big deal, to some it may be. Just step up the game at this location. Eric at this location is always great, let...
Read moreThis is my first time staying with Fairfield Inn and I loved it. Checking in was fast and that front desk was very friendly. Made sure I knew what time breakfast was where the gym and pool as well as their little corner store Inside the hotel once getting to the room 1st thing I noticed was it was a great size and was very clean. Loved that I didn’t not have to plug in my roku as they had Netflix already on the tv. I travel for work so not being stuck working from my laptop while sitting on the bed and actually having the desk with the wired in internet and plugs close is such a nice feature. Hotel is very close to several different dining options. It was nice to have dinner and then be able to lounge by the pool for a little while and even swim a few laps before going up to take a shower work a while and then go to bed. Hot water was hot and lasted for way longer than I could even stand to be in the shower. Typical hotels leave one small bottle of shampoo and conditioner and any person with long hair who’s use those bottles no that’s not enough to wash LONG HAIR. Fairfield had not salon grade shampoo but it definitely wasn’t Dollar tree shampoo either and they had medium sized ones in the shower. After unpacking I found an extra blanket I’m the closest which I love and is not usually found in other hotels I’ve stayed in I like most people like to keep the room super cold when sleeping. Bed was comfy and pillows were in great condition. Checking out was a breeze and breakfast was amazing several options from waffles bagels to actual hot breakfast and they also had great coffee will definitely be recommending and staying with...
Read moreThe room was aged and in need of upkeep and refreshing (we have been staying at this property for the last 9 years and is the same today as it was on our initial stay. We usually get a room with a small refrigerator but one was not provided in our room). The wall paper was torn and missing in places. Three electrical outlets at the desk did not work the first night (found out the hard way when I noticed my cellphone did not recharge over night). I notified the desk to the problem and two of the three outlets were fixed upon returning in the afternoon. Typically, I am given a small gift (bottled water or drink) upon my arrival, based on my Marriott Rewards status, but was not given or offered. Also when I made the reservation for this stay back in January, I was charged four months in advance for one night of lodging (the first time I've ever experienced this with any Marriott property in over 30 years). The housekeeping lacked in my opinion. There were 2 of us in the room, yet the shampoo/conditioner were not replenished during our stay and it looked like someone sat on the bed when we returned to the room during the first day. The lobby area and breakfast area are under going some renovations and while there were signs acknowledging that fact and pardoning the inconvenience there was no notification in advance of our arrival. The first morning there was no place available to sit for breakfast. My wife complained to me daily about the lack of a full length mirror Overall, just not a typical...
