The building and rooms are nice enough with an attractive lobby, and the location is great in regards to places to eat nearby, etc. it's also very quiet despite being right beside the interstate, but those are about the only good things i can say about this hotel.
Service was just plain bad. I got there about 830 PM with a reservation, came inside to an abandoned front desk. No sign indicating the person was responding to a call and would be back, no bell to ring, nothing. After wandering around looking for someone for about 5 minutes the lady finally came in from outside, i don't know what she was doing. How can your front desk be unmanned when you know there are people with reservations on the way?
I finally got checked in and up to my room and went to connect to the WiFi only to find it required a password that i wasn't provided at check in. I called down to the front desk and it just rang and rang and rang until i hung up. So I left to get food and the lady at the front desk was yapping on the phone. She was still yapping on the phone when i came back in with food but i managed to interrupt her conversation to get the WiFi password.
I connected to the WiFi just fine but it was hands down one of the most pitiful internet connections i have ever had at a Choice Hotel. Constant lag and dropping of the connection entirely, and it wasn't my device as i tried two different ones. I then tried connecting to the wall jack as they are usually more stable with the internet connection when available only to find that the wall jack didn't actually have internet access. I ended up biting the bullet and eating through the data plan of my cell phone as a WiFi hotspot.
Other than those points, the stay was ok i guess. My final bill was under the door the morning of checkout which i liked. The breakfast had a nice selection and some delicious bacon one morning. Room was clean and AC unit fairly quiet for being a wall unit. However, i found it odd that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Maybe there was and it just wasn't working.
In the end though, for the price i paid i will not be staying...
Read moreI will NEVER stay at this hotel again. The entire stay was unpleasant. The front desk was rude from the start. She asked for a $200 deposit at the beginning when we questioned why she was so rude when explaining it was for damages and she has no problem charging people. So we decided to check the room before dropping our items. When we went to the room there was blood on the curtain, holes in the wall, stained mattress, empty water bottles, and a vacuum attachment. So we took the photos down to request this be added to the notes. The next morning I woke up at around 4 am to the smell of marijuana spilling into my room. When I asked the cleaning staff, she told me the smell was from a party 3 days prior to my check in. I am a nonsmoker and had 3 children with me. It was making my girls feel sick. When I went to the front desk to talk with the general manager, he lied to my face and told me that was a new air freshener they we trying out. I told him when the housekeeper said he became defensive and aggressive with me. I decided I needed to address the other issues with me room. He told me the blood on the curtain was BBQ sauce, which was absolutely untrue. I said I would really like for someone to check my room before leaving because I wanted to address the problems so I could get my deposit back, he told me he has no intentions of giving me my deposit back even though the room had not been damaged by me. I still have not gotten my deposit back but I intend to contact Comfort Suites this week. Or I will send my lawyer to talk with them. I have all the photos and timestamps that prove we did not damage this room. The pool was green with algae so the kids could not use the indoor pool. That was the reason we booked this hotel, was for the pool. I would never recommend this hotel. The GM is a thief and the hotel is in...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE! My wife checked in and saw that the hotel was under construction, but she was not made aware of all the issues. She could not tell that there was drywall dust on all the railings and surfaces within the central area of the hotel. She could not know that the water would be brown coming out of both the shower and the faucet in the room. I called ahead to make sure the advertised heated indoor pool was open and fully operational, I was assured it was. When my wife when to enjoy the pool after a long trip with our toddler, she found the door was locked and that no one was at the front desk. After waiting with our toddler, she found that the employee had not returned but there was a sign that said that the employee was off helping a customer. Finally, my wife returned to the pool later after dinner and did not see the front-desk employee but found the pool unlocked. My wife tested the water and found that it was freezing, obviously the heater was either not on or not working, and then had to take our disappointed crying toddler back to their room. Finally this morning at 8:30am the construction started up. I was on the phone with my wife, it was so loud we had to give up on the phone call and resort to texting. It said no where on their website or the booking site we used that they were under construction. Finally, the booking company i used called the hotel and requested a refund, which was denied. They claimed they informed my wife of all this before her stay and that she agreed to it. This was not entirely true as there were many aspects my wife was not made aware of. In addition, she was traveling with a toddler and got their late, she did not have the time to try and find another place to stay the night after...
