Very nice facility. Unfortunately, there were 4 important Elements missing from this stay. First, and most troublesome, was the fact that we were told for the extra money, that we would be receiving a Jacuzzi room, which to myself and my wife, sounds like a stand-alone feature, and exactly what we had spent w hours on the phone locating. But, alas, an extra $60 bought us a bigger bathtub which definitely cannot seat two. The second was the mistruth about a pool, which was closed for the weekend. Another feature we had already included in our romantic one day vacation from work and children. The wife was heart-broken. Third was the fact that there was a restaurant in the hotel which meant that we could enjoy a few glasses of wine in the Jacuzzi or by the poolside. This restaurant was closed for the weekend as well. This brings us to the 4th feature... the hotel bar. Which, as fate would have it, is ALSO CLOSED on the weekend. This could be easily avoided, had this been explained to us when we made reservations and asked specifically about each of these features. And with a $250 price. You would think a breakfast would be included, which is another false promise uttered to us. As was the promise of free coffee available in the lobby... which costs money should you want some. Nope, not even free coffee. So, all in all, staff were very friendly, and understanding. Rooms were immaculate, and the location has a Fudruckers right there, and if you take a right off their road (look to the right, you will see immediately that you can turn hard to the right and instantly you are on I85) there is a Hooters, JP's, cracker barrel, and a Mexican restaurant right there. So the area, facilities, and covid awareness are top-notch. The price was ridiculous, as far as amenities and extras that were paid for but not even there. I am hoping that this nicely worded review will be seen by someone in this company, and realize that maybe a small token of understanding to a long-standing customer might...
Read moreWe got there, very excited Kim, took care of us. We arrived earlier then expected, but she checked us right in. We had two different reservations, and only one was entered. That should have been a sign.. I'm a Cancer patient first vacation in a while. We came in for our Family Connection Reunion. So I and my husband really needed this, I was disappointed when we came down stairs and a guest was complaining items were missing from their room. I thought nothing of it, could just be a honest mistake, we were going all day, when arrived back to room, realized we had no service, no beds made, no towels. I called down stairs 22mins, later the lady said the person who checked me in should have told me there wasn't going to be any service because of pandemic. Okay! I said, can we get towels? I will have them brought up, never happen. I said one other question, she said go ahead, I said we were told we get breakfast, she says No, that's only if you're a dimond member and your not. So that will cost you $ 11.99 each Okay! Next morning, I go to get towels and was told to find the housekeeper on my floor, but as I stood waiting another guest was complaining of theft in their rooms, so I'm guess I was fortunate that, I didn't receive anyone cleaning my room. This happen four different times. Very sad! This was supposed to be stress-free for me. Were from South Florida, don't know when, I can go on vacation again. Very...
Read moreThe internet was poor and kept cutting out. The entire hotel looks like it was either built in or updated in 2003 then never touched again. It’s just kinda…dingy and sad looking and severely outdated. There was a hair in my bed when I pulled the comforter back. The breakfast is not only NOT free but is outrageously priced. The restaurant and bar are closed on Fri, Sat, and Sun (WHAT?) The owner, an older man who smells very strongly of smoke, was hitting on the 20-something woman at the front desk while we were there. The TVs in the rooms are awful. They, too, are from the early 2000s and don’t have any apps. It’s just…regularly ole cable, which, no thanks. We tried to watch Netflix on our computer but when the internet kept cutting out, we gave up. The coffee pot was dirty. I tried cleaning it out myself but was too grossed out to use it. The front of the hotel is littered in cigarette butts. My toddler was playing in the rocks while we waited for our breakfast and she kept picking them up, so I had to carry her the whole time. Basically, this place seems like the owner paid build it then never did anything to update it and only does the bare minimum to keep it in running shape. I stay at Hiltons a lot and this is one of the worst...
