I would not recommend coming to this hotel for a stay if you book online and get good rating because sisters Kim and Carol will cancel your reservation and try to create you another after they say they didn’t change the stay. And blamed the poor other two workers who actually were so helpful due to my situation. My stay for two weeks totaled about 760 and after they cancelled my stay because of an unsure leave date my rates went up to me almost having that balance after only staying 6 days and paid already almost 400. They over charged me and told me that my price was so good that I needed to check out and reset my reservation because I wasn’t sure what day I would needed to check out because I wasn’t sure if I needed any other stays in my reservation. They even told me and left in the notes that I wanted to leave the next day and had a balance that if I didn’t pay I wouldn’t be able to get my kept copy. And when I paid for the room they told me my check out was ready for next day and it cancelled my reservation. I don’t believe siblings should work together and they were always on smoke breaks when you would need them at the counter. The poor other workers who were helping me they through them under the bus and said that they changed it when I had the proof of who changed it. I would never go back to that location if they both were still working there. I had to sleep in my vehicle two nights until my children school staff assisted me in a shelter until I moved. Would not recommend getting friendly with the two sisters because they will change your...

This Microtel is conveniently located just off I-85 at Anderson SC, between Atlanta and Charlotte, and just south of Clemson University. Within walking distance are several restaurants from fast food to sit down, along with a couple of sports bars to unwind after a day traveling on the road.
The hotel itself is good for the most part. Great outdoor pool, decent morning breakfast, and the rooms are not bad. As with all other Microtel's, the rooms are very small compared to other brands, enough for 1 or 2 travelers at most. Bed was clean, bathroom was clean, but the desk chair was disgusting. It was covered with several curly pubic hairs and small brown stains. I'm not sure what occurred on that chair, but it should have been cleaned, or maybe even replaced, before the next guest. I never sat on it.
Also, on the wall in the bathroom right next to the door jam where you walk out was a phone number for a BJ; I don't think it was for someone named BJ. I clearly saw this, so how is housekeeping not seeing this and cleaning off, unless someone in housekeeping is the one advertising a BJ?
All the guests I saw that night I stayed were contract workers for various construction and utility companies, so mostly a single male crowd. Overall, decent sleep for the price for myself traveling, but I would not recommend for families or females traveling alone. Plus, look before you sit...
Read moreWe checked in at 1130pm on Friday and the staff was friendly. However when we went to the 4th floor it smelled like someone was smoking weed on the floor. We went back down and complained and there were two workers behind the desk. I let one of them know and she was very helpful and switched us rooms. The other woman gave me a dirty looks as though my husband and two children should just deal with it. The beds are a bit lumpy and uncomfortable and the mirrors everywhere in the room is a bit weird. The breakfast barely has anything on it and the food is kind of stale. Our second day was not very pleasant because we had a noise complaint twice for my kids literally walking around in the roo. As if it was our fault that you could hear everything that happens in this hotel because flooring and walls are very thin. The lady working at the front desk decided to take it upon herself to tell my kids what they cou and couldn’t do within the hotel. She was rude and made it seem as though my children needed to cater to other people within the hotel. They were just walking around and being a normal average kid, nothing crazy. The rooms are small and overall I don’t recommend this place to families and most of the staff is just rude. There was only one...
