We enjoy Outback but not tonight. First of all the wait was ridiculously long which is understandable for a Saturday night w/o reservations. We noticed many empty tables and lots of other customers waiting to be seated - I was curious why all the empty tables. I'll will say the girls at the host stand were friendly. We finally got sat and were in the middle of our meal when a table beside us got sat by a hostess which was very friendly, she actually interacted with us while we waited earlier. A female manager came out of nowhere and literally screamed at this hostess whereas our entire table other customers heads were turning to see what the screaming was about. Apparently the hostess sat the party at the wrong table or maybe wasn't supposed to sit them at all bc the kitchen may have been backed up (not sure). This was the most unprofessional sighting of a manager I've ever seen! We felt so bad for the young girl who appeared to simply be doing her job.
I know it's difficult to find good employees these days but the GM needs to be more selective in who they hire for management at this Outback, and why aren't you sitting customers when 40% of the restaurant has open tables? Our bread and salads were good, but the cheese fries were luke warm and steak over cooked. I should have brought this to our servers attn. but our meal was ruined and we wanted to leave. We...
Read moreWe ordered the 6 ounce sirloin steak meal and we received steaks that were less than 6 ounces in size. We’re very salty, overcooked, tough, and were the smallest steaks we had ever seen and ate even for the worst steakhouses we’ve ever been to my boyfriend‘s steak was 3“ x 2“ x 1/2“. it appeared as if they had taken an 8 ounce steak and cut it in half trying to pass it off as 26 ounces but it was obvious that those were not 6 ounce steaks. In addition the salads were brown. The dressing was watery when we asked the waitress wires 6 ounces we’re not 6 ounces. She tried to put it off as they were trying to limit the amount of food that people waste regardless of this when people order food you need to serve them what they ordered and not a half representation of what they were supposed to get. The size of those steaks were very insulting. they offered my boyfriend refills on water, but did not offer me refill. our bill came to $41 before the tip and that included the two $16.99 6 ounce steak meals. save yourself some money and time go to fresh market buy 26 ounce steaks and they will cost way less than what we pay for our food. at least it fresh market you get to see them weighed and will know approximately how much they weigh. The waitress was friendly and nice. The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were clean as well so I gave one star to accommodate...
Read moreI gave this place multiple chances before I wrote this review because of the challenges with COVID, but time is up. I am sitting in the curbside pickup lane yet again waiting for my food. When I placed the order for three desserts (no entrees, no drinks, just desserts) 45 min ago, the web page once again said the order would be ready in 25-30 min. I waited until the 30-min mark to even leave my house based on my last two experiences arriving on time and waiting 15-20 min longer than advised. There is no excuse for not having three desserts ready at 5pm on a Friday at curbside after 45 min. This just means they are waiting until you arrive every time to get your order ready. One star is what you get when that happens and a low tip.
Update: I received the three desserts 20 min after I arrived (50 min total)—again, third time in a row over the past three months. I told the girl about it and said I could have gone in once I arrived, been seated (there was no wait), ordered and received all three desserts at a table before getting at curbside. This area needs major attention. A wait time of 50 min for dessert is unacceptable anywhere. People expect better than that at McDonald’s; Outback should manage against a higher...
