Tried to order online 4 times it wouldn’t come up. So then I call to order to go and I wanted to do curbside and the employee tells me that curbside is only for if you’re disabled or trouble walking otherwise I would have to come in and get bc she couldn’t bring it out there. So I pull up at curbside and beside me there is someone 10 years younger than me but and he was definitely not disabled or anything wrong with him trying to make this short I go In and of course not ready I told the cashier what had happened she took the initiative to let manager know immediately which impressed me since she had only been there 3 weeks the manager was nice he apologized but only like talks to me twice but didn’t offer anything else and never saw him again after I told him I wasn’t impressed with whoever I talked to. I couldn’t barely eat the roast bc it had so much fat mash potatoes dry not but a drop gravy on it the food was cold my daughter fries were nasty love the broccoli casserole i don’t know I’ll be back bc when i y’all a manager I wasn’t I’m impressed who I talked with didn’t offer discount or anything like that especially after I told him that and more he walked off didn’t see him again I don’t know if I’ll be back bc i can just eat the corn and broccoli casserole so definitely wasn’t worth the money bc of food and service. And had down wrong name they need to fix customer service and the on to go ordering and fix the online ordering online. Sorry this being so long and the roast i attention was maybe a little bigger offer a gift card or something when this much happened in one visit. Other times I’ve been there never been treated the way I was today. Don’t know if I’ll be back bc I had my kid with me n that was the whole point I wanted curbside need a little more hospitality...
Read moreWorst experience and just keeps getting worse. The Cracker Barrel has lost its appeal and has been on a slow free fall with no help in sight. Waited 35 mins for a table during Sunday lunch, which was normal, but then waited 15 mins for drinks. The promise of heavenly biscuits and corn muffins never was kept until our food came out another 30 mins later. One of the corn muffins were so old and burnt, it rolled off the table and cracked the tile floor - I was so embarrassed. My pot roast was cold, along with the mashed potatoes and gravy. Turnip greens had congealed bacon fat. It was reminiscent of what grandpa described as an army meal during the world wars, but even the boomers next to us were ashamed for us. Speaking of folk next to us, a party was seated right after us but we finished our meal before they even got their drinks. Other plates were cold and not worth the effort to eat or send back. The wait staff is tired, as understood, but this experience just reveals that nobody wants to work at Cracker Barrel due to the lack of enthusiasm and attention- so it must be a poor paying job, which reflects its decline in food preparation and customer service. Checkout ladies at the shop asked if I wanted to speak with the manager. Not at all. This is a management problem to begin with, they let it get this bad. Tried new things. And it got worse. The addition of alcohol to the menu made this place LOUD. You can’t enjoy a conversation. It is no longer a family atmosphere but has stooped to country food slopped together at a dive bar, and we’re all dying a little on the inside because we know we don’t want to come back, but somebody will get us gift card that will spark a glimmer of hope and memories of good food, only to disappoint us again. Farewell Cracker Barrel, we enjoyed...
Read moreI want to clarify that this was curbside specifically. I have had really good experiences inside the restaurant, but on 11/16 I placed an order for 11/17 pick up. When we drove up 11/17 there were absolutely no other people waiting for curbside. I went to my email and let them know what parking spot I was in. Not even 5 minutes later our food comes out. My order was quite large, so I double checked my order and come to find 2 items missing. This is big inconvenience for me because I have my 3 year old and 5 month in the car with me. I get out to tell the person at the host stand that I had just received my curbside order and was missing the 2 items. She said she’d have someone come out. Someone eventually came out and they asked me if I was sure that the items weren’t in my bag, I said yes. Then they said they were going to go check. I was like wtf…go check then. It was legit an order of free beignets and 2 pancakes, part of a plate. By this time my kids are going crazy in the car…the whole reason why I wanted to do curbside. They made the items then proceed to go check my order. Sure enough the items were not there just like I said. Well during this whole time again, my kids are looney so I’m like okay everything else should be there. Well I get home and there is 1 syrup bottle for 5 pancake plates ordered and there were no corn muffins that I specified choosing when I placed my order. I was also missing a separate side of bacon and another side for the same plate that was missing the 2 pancakes originally. I can understand maybe 1 or two things missing, that I can get but they completely dropped the ball on my order. I ordered already for thanksgiving items and I’m super worried that they might mess that bulk...
