My three-day stay at La Playa Inn hotel was an overall enjoyable experience. The staff members were incredibly friendly and accommodating, despite having to handle difficult situations with some demanding guests. I admired their professionalism and patience. The complimentary breakfast offered a decent variety, including delicious croissants, cereals, yogurt, and coffee. However, it's worth noting that if you desired water bottles, you had to specifically request them from the front desk. The room itself was pleasant, providing a comfortable space to relax. One downside was the absence of a pool or hot tub on the premises, though you could catch glimpses of a pool and hot tub next door from the second floor. Unfortunately, there was no option to utilize those amenities, which would have been a welcome addition. Despite the slightly higher price point, I believe the overall experience warranted a five-star rating. I appreciate the efforts of the staff and the quality of the room, though I do hope the hotel considers adding a pool or hot tub option in the future

My stay has yet to end but this cannot wait! What a wonderfully splendid place to stay! So close to everything yet still quiet and private. Initial impression is everything looks brand new; the room was immaculate and the bed comfortable. Stand out features for us were the tasteful decor hiding necessary features like the air-conditioning unit behind the desk unit, the matched cabinetry throughout that cleverly concealed multiple usb and power outlets and the full-sized bathroom toiletries in the pristinely clean and roomy bathroom. Someone has taken the time to consider what a traveller wants and needs away from home. And can we take a moment to truly appreciate the beautiful coved ceilings in our room, what an architectural treasure! Check in was a breeze and I'm happy to say I will be sad to leave. If I had to make a criticism (and what review would be believeable without one?) some of the bed pillows are in need of a refresh/replace otherwise its a 10/10 for us.

Solid 4.5 if I could give it that many stars. Good hotel for the price, nice new[ish] feeling decor, room size is fair and the bed was fairly comfortable. We also loved that they had EV charging and that's why we chose this hotel for our one night in Santa Barbara. It's a bit far from things we wanted to see in SB and the map made us feel it was closer than it was since we didn't want to drive to everything, we did want to walk from our hotel. But that's not the fault of the hotel! My only complaint is going to be specific for very few travelers. I loved that they had built in dispensers for soap and shampoo as I dislike single use toiletries in hotels. But I have thick, long hair and all the dispensers gave out such a small amount of product at a time that it would have taken me and hour and a half to get out enough shampoo to wash my hair! I would just advise other women with long, thick hair, pack their own shampoo and conditioner. Then you're golden!

Not to sound like a shill for the place, but we really enjoyed our stay here. Truly. The hotel was in great shape, very clean. Amazing architectural detail in the coved ceiling and smooth walls. I've never seen that in a hotel. Kudos to the designer.||We were here for an anniversary trip, a detail I noted in my reservation request. Not only did they respond directly via email, acknowledging this, they also provided a bottle of wine and a nice note upon check-in. Again, great attention to detail.||Our room looked out over the front parking lot, but we didn't hear any undue noise. The room had a Juliet balcony, that was cute. Nice Andersen sliding glass doors. Another unusual quality thing in a hotel.||The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked. It's a little strange - it's mounted/situated on the side of the room. Maybe it's a split-type unit? Could be a little more effective, but it's a small nit.||The included breakfast was good, European-style, with pastries and cereal. Cute back patio and entry/front room in lobby.||My biggest nit was the towels. With everything else so nice, I was sorely disappointed in the towels. They were either stained, not white, or looked like they'd been well-used. I mentioned this to the manager. He said they were aware of the issue, and were changing linen suppliers.||The location was perfect. Just a few blocks from Stearns Wharf and a nice walk to the busy area with restaurants and such.||Highly...

We had a pleasant 3-night stay at La Playa Inn that we arranged through Booking.com. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. It’s not a large hotel, but our Room 102 was certainly big enough for two and had a small patio. Nice bathroom, daily housekeeping, Mini fridge and closet. (no microwave, but there is one in the lobby.) Great location to walk to the beach, State Street, the Sunday art festival, Funk Zone etc. we did a LOT of exploring, and after a waterfront walking tour and another tour at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden, I certainly appreciated the comfy bed and smooth sheets at the end of the day! |There is a Continental breakfast provided in the morning. Coffee, juice, granola bars, instant oatmeal packets, some of the usual stuff, The sign said the baked goods are from Santa Barbara Baking Co. (See photo) the ham and cheese croissants were pure buttery goodness. Delicious muffins and the best chocolate croissants I’ve ever eaten. Better than Paris! You won’t have to search for the chocolate in these croissants. And the hotel put them out early so I was able to grab one more for the road before we headed home to Phoenix. Thank...
