PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE After MULTIPLE phone calls and emails to DELFINA, the worst hotel manager on earth, no contact back from her to acknowledge our issues. $950 for a 2 night stay with a harbor view and we suffered with a toilet that spewed waste water every time it flushed plus a fan that made tons of noise when the bathroom light was on. Twice maintenance came by to try and fix it with no luck. They were sold out and could not move us to another room. The only thing they offered while we were staying there was 20% off a FUTURE STAY, like we would ever come back to this hellhole that hates their customers?! They ruined my birthday weekend celebration in Santa Barbara. I wish I could upload my videos of the toilet spewing waste water here.
Here's a copy of our written correspondence: 8/2/23: I am just shocked that as a hotel manager you would have such little respect for your customers as to not even acknowledge our issues. We will be both going online tomorrow morning to every possible site online to post negative reviews about your hotel and include this correspondence and my videos. This is absolutely uncalled for and so unprofessional!

I am so sorry to hear that you were ill last week but a full week has gone by since we checked out and we would just like acknowledgment from you that you are hearing our concerns. I am quite active on social media and I noticed this yelp review from just one month ago where this customer received a credit for one night for a loud a/c unit. We had a toilet that spewed waste water every time it flushed plus a fan that made a lot of noise from the bathroom light so what kind of credit can you apply to our account for our issues? We were also on the third floor and paid top dollar for a harbor view and there were no rooms available for us to move to. Maintenance came by twice to fix the toilet to no avail.
Thank you!

Hi Delfina,
It has been over 3 days since we checked out of your hotel. Chris and Jonathan were well informed about our situation and the notes were applied to our folio.
If we do not receive a resolution by the end of today, we will be contacting the department of health and post our reviews.
I look forward to your response. Stephanie

Hi Delfina, please see the attached videos from our hotel room 318. We checked in on July 15 and out July 17. We paid almost $1000 for those two nights to celebrate my birthday visiting from Los Angeles. On the first night we noticed that the toilet when flushed spewed out WASTE WATER onto the bathroom floor. First thing Sunday morning I alerted the front desk woman who sent maintenance to take a look while we went out whale watching all day. When we returned late in the afternoon I called Jonathan because the toilet was not fixed and now the toilet was making a constant running sound in the bowl. (See video which also shows how loud our fan was when the light was turned on. It was incredibly loud and ruined our stay). He said he would call maintenance and call me back, but he didn’t. When we went left for dinner I mentioned it to him again. When we returned he said maintenance looked at it again and could not fix the issue and there were no rooms available to switch to. After about five phone calls back-and-forth between Jonathan and you late at night on my birthday, the best thing we were offered was 20% off a future stay. We do not want this offer. Our current stay was ruined with the situation and we would expect a discount off of our current charge. Ideally we would like one night comped. The condition of that toilet plus the loud fan and the bathroom in general is hardly worth $500 a night. I think once your bathrooms are remodeled the property will be a lot...
Read moreMy teen boys and husband and I stayed here during a family vacation. We were in Santa Barbara for about 10 nights. ||I spent a lot of time looking at different hotel options in the Santa Barbara area, and finally settled on this one. I'm glad I did. The location is amazing for the price. We figured we weren't planning to spend a lot of time in the room anyway, so the amenities weren't as important as location. ||The breakfast offers reasonable options, though it began to feel like Groundhog Day after about the 5th morning. But it's nice to have a warm breakfast to get the day started, and restaurant prices are high in Santa Barbara, so at least the kids weren't hungry right away. We stopped at the farmers' market and bought some berries and other fruits that we added to our hotel breakfasts, and that shook things up a bit.||The rooms are really nothing to get too excited about. The beds feel kind of saggy and don't offer a lot of back support. My family had all independently come to the conclusion that they water down the shampoo and conditioner. I find that unlikely, but it's not exactly spa-quality, either. Cleaning was sufficient, but the carpet didn't seem very clean--I'm not a germaphobe, but I never walked barefoot in the room. I will say, though, that the towels are so soft and snuggly that I looked forward to each shower. ||The pool was ice cold and when we walked past, my son said of the people sitting there, "Do they know there's a beach across the street?" We couldn't imagine why they were there. The next day, we found ourselves caught in wind at the beach and decided to retreat to the pool ourselves. If you think of the space as a patio where you can enjoy the temperate central coast weather, you might be happier than thinking of it as a pool. (Word to the wise, I heard from a local that the beach on the hotel side of the wharf is always windier than the far side of the wharf, so it's worth the longer walk.)||The people were always friendly and helpful. The prices were great. The location was excellent. They include parking in the hotel prices, so that's even better, and the parking lot is large enough to accommodate everyone. We got stuck in town an extra night when the airport was shut down due to a power outage, and we chose to come back to the Beachside Inn again. I would make the same choice again for...
Read moreThis place definitely advertises as nicer than what it really is, and I think there are better places to stay. Check-in was fine, friendly staff and nice little lobby, however the rest of the stay was lackluster at best. Every time we left our room, even with the fan and AC being on, we returned to an extremely stuffy room and had to open our balcony door to get fresh air, which only meant us constantly hearing the traffic from the road. While the bedroom part of the room looked remodeled and the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was outdated and finicky. Our toilet made a LOUD prolonged squealing/screeching sound every single time we flushed it, and though I notified staff about the annoyance and frustrating no maintenance worker came up to fix the issue, let alone an offer to move to another room. Our shower also decided to not provide any warm water the last day of our stay, so that was quite a shock. I would also like to add that we paid to have a balcony with a view of the harbor, however even though our room was on the second floor the building and trees across the road completely blocked any view of the harbor so we had no view (honestly the 3rd floor should be the only rooms advertised to have a "view"). FYI, there is no breakfast. They state they have a "grab n go" style breakfast due to covid, however all 3 mornings we went down to the lobby and were confused to only see a basket of apples, oranges, and coffee. So that was weird. The hotel is walking distance to the beach and the harbor which is nice, but honestly I do not see the price for the hotel being justified for what is...
