This is the worst restaurant in the bay area, the lady on the counter doesn't know how to treat a customer. Her attitude, service, language is really really bad. I went to this restaurant for the first time with my friend who is a vegetarian. We ordered a non veg dish for me and samosa for my friend and we clearly told her that we need plain samosa without the chat. We waited 15-20 mins for the food. Finally food arrived and it was horrible in the looks and found that Samosa was dipped in chat. We called the lady and told that we asked for plain samosa. She started arguing that "You guys didn't specify anything while ordering" and asked us to eat the way it is served. We clearly told her that we didn't order it like this and we cant eat and also told her to get a plain samosa and we will pay for everything but she didn't show any courtesy to change the samosa neither said sorry or anything...She took the samosa plate back and she never returned to our table. We kept waiting thinking that she will get the plain Samosa and didn't start eating for next 15-20mins. Then we smelled toilet kind of smell and felt like puking and left the place...

Totally disappointed in this restaurant , I was in the area for work and excited to have some Indian food. I ordered my food and started grabbing plates and silverware. The guy at the register said oh actually were closing so it’s to go only. I let him know he should have told me that before I ordered , obviously bothered I put the plates back and went to the table to wait. Then when he brings my food out he says you can eat here if you want , you can grab plates. I double check because he just told me the contrary, and he said yea it’s fine . Then he and another staff member leave and I go out to greet the person meeting me for lunch . When I walk back in another staff member says sorry we’re closed. I said my food is on the table they told me I could eat here. His response is “oh,” and walks back to kitchen . I said you know what you guys have horrible customer service no one let me know I couldn’t eat here then I’m told I can and now you are rushing me . I highly discourage eating here this staff doesn’t deserve patrons that are treated like we are being done a favor. Completely dismissive will not come back neither...

Great place! I moved from Bombay and am used to having late night discussions with friends and sometime munching or having a late night meals. This place is the only good option within 5 mile driving radius to my place.

Ok if anyone knows of other Desi restaurant which stay open till late in Santa clara please please let me know. We have been hanging out here for 3 yrs and can consider other options. While we have been to shah at mountain view the food their tastes the same as here.

The lady at the counter never smiles :-/ you crack a joke and she will be stone cold and response will be "whats your order?" But no complaints the food is good. Kind of small place with maybe 15 tables but good parking in this shopping complex. I have never been here at lunch hour but can imagine this to be crowded.

I would suggest paneer achari for all veg people and all chicken dishes are good. They cook mutton very well but i am not a big on it.

Overall a nice relaxed place to hangout and drink chai...
