So I'd first like to start by saying: Hotels are tricky.
It's hard to find good hotels within a reasonable price range where you get that feeling of both comfort and luxury without having to sell a kidney first. No one wants to feel like they're at a super 8 with the bedbugs and roaches.
Anyway, I'm glad to say that this hotel really delivered a great experience. I've bullet listed the positives below.
-Pet friendly.
-The staff are friendly and attentive.
-The rooms are very clean.
-They provide full sized shampoo, conditioner, and body washes. No travel sizes that run out before a lather even begins. Hooray~ Bar hand soaps as well.
Sizeable showers so you don't feel like you're cramped.
Tv remotes come in a clean plastic sleeve so you don't have to deal with greasy worn out remotes! (Yay)
Free wifi (Though I don't recommend the wifi upgrade it's only 5 mbps faster which is negligible).
Breakfast buffet is great quality. Ripe fruits, good fresh breads and bagels. Tasty yogurts and even boiled eggs.
-Insanely cozy patio with a firepit that i could honestly pass out at. I mean seriously it's so comfortable.
Convenient are near the front desk where you can purchase drinks and snacks. Lots of variety and options. Like a mini general store.
Free 24/7 coffee/tea/HC machine in the lobby.
Comfortable clean lobby area to lounge in.
Phone/Device charging stations in the breakfast area.
If i had any criticisms, it would be more of suggestions to help from a business perspective that makes the customers experience more enhanced. The pool exists. But it's tiiiny. And unheated. If they invested in a larger, heated pool that could be used year round, it would really be a huge bonus. Many people book hotels for the pool.
I'd also suggest getting some greenery installed around the hotel. Maybe some areas of grass and trees. Brighten it up and make it more manicured.
I also believe hotels would be a huge success if they made mini dog parks instead of letting the dogs pee and poo around the hotel itself. It helps contain the fecal matter and could include a drinking station, maybe some obstacle courses, and a doggy bath station.
Just a few ideas.
Otherwise, this hotel was great. Totally recommend it to anyone needing a place to...

Read moreMy stay at the hotel was outstanding from beginning to end. I arrived a little past 6pm and Ashley was in the front. The guests in front of me had an issue with their reservation, which Ashley was taking care of with extremely professionalism. She kept checking on me and apologizing for the wait and telling me she was going to be with me in just a couple of minutes. She could’ve take 20 minutes, just the fact that she acknowledged me was amazing. I didn’t have to wait long whatsoever and the guests in front me were happy at the end needless to say.
The room was amazing. The smell of new can’t be duplicated or imitated it. The mattress were so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud and the pillows were super fluffy. Although I didn’t use all the amenities. I saw the gym, which it was quite complete and the pool area had a fire pit!
Upon waking up I had to head over to my final destination, not before I had some wonderful breakfast. Before the breakfast however, I checked out at the front with I believe her name was Michelle (Asian lady) I noticed how she was talking to every guest, either checking out or requesting a copy of their bill. Her eye contact, her smile, the tone of her voice and the tilted look of her head was very comforting. She was true a professional. The breakfast was amazing. So many choices. I’m used to Marriot properties and their breakfast are very complete , but the attendant greeting every guests with a good morning and a smile on her face was priceless. I drive up north and back down south twice a year. Fairfield inn and suites at Santee is going to be my spot in the middle of my journey and I will surely recommend this hotel to all of my friend that also...
