Mack’s Original Pizza Pub — Restaurant in Seekonk

Been twice. Food is decent quality, but lacking in flavor.

Corndogs bites are a basically 90% hot dog free and fall apart almost comically. Fried pickles are alright, and probably the best thing we've tried on the menu. Mac bites are ok. Sweet potato fries are crunchy but over seasoned with bit too much cinnamon and a lot too much kosher salt, and parm garlic fries lack enough garlic flavor just seem extra oily.

Burger buns fall apart, I mean ALL of them. Burger meat lacks carmelization and basic seasoning. Concepts are good, but the burger itself brings it down. Have tried an Elvis, Hawaiian, and half a Smokey. The meat is dried out and like... steamed, without the moisture retention....as if they need to crank the grill temp to sear the exterior instead of the meat sweating it out on the grill.

The best thing they have there is by far their milkshakes, both spiked and virgin. They're tasty, but some are overloaded with chocolate syrup as garnish that's not blended and you end up getting a straw-full. They also leave a lot of chunky stuff inside and would benefit greatly from getting thicker milkshake straws.

I would go back, but I am not going to suggest it...

I order take out on Saturday 11/4. The staff at the front door were very nice; no issue there.

I did, however, notice that my takeout order which consisted of a pizza and wings was just sitting out on a counter. I was handed the food and could already tell that the pizza box wasn't even remotely warm.

I brought the food home which is about a 9 minute drive. When my wife and I tried the pizza it wasn't even warm. It was room temperature. The wings were about the same temperature. The flavor, however, was fantastic on both items. It's just, for the money that was spent (over $50 including a tip) the food needs to be AT LEAST warm.

To the team over at Mack's - ya'll need to simply invest in a hot holding unit to hold your food for pickup. Most restaurants can get away without them, but restaurants that serve PIZZA absolutely cannot.

I'll probably come back and eat in person; i'm sure the food would be much hotter, but until I know this location is holding their carryout food in a heater, I will not be ordering from here which is actually quite sad as this was going to be our new weekly order spot.

So we stopped here on the way to movies last night I ordered the super sport burger while the beef itself was of a good quality the burger did not have the fried pickles and had very little "hot rod sauce" by the taste it was thousand island dressing but the thing that I decided to leave this review is when I ordered I asked for no lettuce or tomatoes I have a nightshade allergy and while it wont send me to the hospital eating any uncooked tomato product make me extremely sick when the burger came out it had both lettuce and tomatoes on it when I explained to the waitress she was apologetic for the mistake if I hadn't been pressed for time i would have sent it back but my wife talked me into just cleaning up as best as I could and eating it anyway for something as simple as no lettuce no tomato and they can't get it right when it was not that busy I dont think in will...
