Reggae Vibes — Restaurant in Maryland

Hubby had found this lil spot after visiting the Target Express across the street from here. It's a small shack , ( which got me excited because it's those type who usually have the best food) , so it's only takeout, pick up, GrubHub, & saw a food truck behind their lil shack, but in person you order from the window, limited menu but perfect for those who truly love home cooked type Jamaican food 🥰 I got the Curry platter w/rice n Peas & plaintain. It smelled so good and so mad I didn't take pics but trust chicken was so tender, sauce was on point ! Rice and peas Delicious , majority of plaintain was moist , a few pieces were dried out but just used them to soak up the curry sauce. 😋 Hubby loves Jerk chicken,so he got Jerk Chicken platter w/ rice n Peas & cabbage and is very critical of Jerk chicken , but heard nothing but "umm , ok ok" 😂 , he said it was so good & way better than that "other" spot down the street (Negril) , he had got a side of jerk sauce but he said it was so saucy he didnt need it and saved because it was so good ! it. Also got Chicken patty & CoCo bread😳 omg was so good & soft and the patty crust is slightly a bit of traditional & coco bread and sooo DELICIOUS! just like the food!! Portions are very generous and you definitely get your $ 's worth and I am definitely look forward to trying their other menu items. Definitely top spot for some good...

Went on Friday July 23rd 2021, went there with my friend we kept driving by this place saying we should try we should try, finally we men up and screw let go, we both got the oxtail platter I got rice n peas he got it with veggies and plantains, this food had us with the itis food was 10 out 10 meat was juicy rice had flavor, the veggies were done perfectly the plantains were nice, we also got the coco bread and patties I got the beef one that joint had nice taste the outer shell was crispy the pattie had an even spread every bit had flavor and meat, not like some place were they hold out this spot feels like you went to someone house and they made the food with love, or as we say they put they foot in it, if you worry about trying trust fam food did not disappoint looking forward ...

This food was so disappointing! The jerk chicken was dry, and didn't have much of any flavor at all. The rice had absolutely no flavor at all. The rum cake was terribly dry as well. They pretty much just took some pound cake and sprinkled in some rum. The beef patties barely had meat in them, it was mostly crust. I've had better beef patties from Costco!! Don't even order their jerk mac and cheese! I will never be back there, as these people don't take pride in there food. It really is a tragedy over there, no one cares. I've had better Jamaican food from American restaurants! I wouldn't bother to eat their food again, even if it was for free! They even forgot to put some items I ordered in my bag, and then asked for a receipt when I returned!...
