Silver Inn — Hotel in Silverthorne

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Silver Inn and their staff. My family and I had spent a week in Breckenridge for our family vacation, and after loading up our SUV to leave, it wouldn’t start. We had to scramble to make arrangements to have our vehicle towed, find a ride for the 5 of us with luggage to a hotel, as well as find a hotel that could take us in on such short notice. My husband and I both started making phonecalls simultaneously and were shocked and disappointed to find that so many hotels weren’t even answering their phones! Mrs Kipta not only answered, but gladly took us in, and made arrangements so that we could check in early, even though they had been booked completely the night before. Instead of having to sit somewhere with all of our bags until 2:00, she allowed us to get rooms at 10:30 AM, and at no extra charge!! Unfortunately, our car was 9th in line for repairs so we were unable to accurately estimate when our check out date or time would be, but Mrs Kipta was wonderful about working with us. She told us not to worry about leaving at their established 11 AM checkout time, and didn’t bother asking for another payment to secure a second night’s stay until well after 3:00 the next day—again, at no extra charge! She and her staff were very friendly, and offered tons of recommendations for where we could grab food, etc. In a time of unexpected crisis and uncertainty, there is nothing quite more comforting than a friendly, smiling, face and this hotel was just what we needed! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious. They offered a continental breakfast each morning which was a lifesaver for my family of five, and one less thing to worry about! If we weren't in a pandemic, this would be an easy 5 stars from me. The price was fair, especially considering that I was able to book the room the night of at 7 pm. The room was clean, and your basic amenities were included, such as a microwave, mini fridge, and tv. The furniture was slightly dated but it was cozy and comfortable, and the small AC unit cooled the room quickly.

The only reason I am removing a star is because the continental breakfast was canceled until further notice and the hot tub was closed as well. These were not told to me when I called in my reservation, I had to call back to double check. It would have been nice to know this up front, and to possibly have a tiny portion of the nightly rate knocked off because of it, but I understand how that is not the most practical thing to do.

Overall, I was definitely pleased with my brief stay, and given the opportunity, I would certainly return again, hopefully with the Inn operating with full amenities after we get...

Stay at the Silver Inn!! Do it, it's the best! Omg our room reminded me of several places I stayed at in Europe, beautifully kept it is owner operated so the pride and service you will get is unparalleled. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Dillion/Silverthorne area this is definitely the place to go. Some people may call this place dated I say ha! This place is cleaner than any chain you will stay at it has been used and kept up with care and pride, from the carpets on the stair Wells to the grass and BBQ that is outside for all to use.
