Let me preface this review by saying that I live in Houston, and therefore have high expectations for a Mexican restaurant. Fritangas met none of them. In retrospect, the presence of hamburgers (not on the kid's menu) should've tipped us off. But we let our stomachs lead the way and chose this place hoping to have the "best Mexican food in town," as another reviewer put it. Let's start with the chips and salsa. The chips were over greased and under seasoned. The salsa was so packed with garlic that I can still taste it on my mouth an hour later. It tasted closer to bad marinara sauce than anything resembling salsa. Then a momentary bright spot of the meal: the margaritas. It was a solid margarita with a fair amount of tequila in it. The strawberry margarita came loaded with fresh fruit on top, which was a nice touch. Next, the queso. Where to begin with the queso? It was served on a fajita skillet (cool idea) but the cheese itself was the consistency of Elmer's glue mixed with those string cheese packs you put in your kid's lunch. We sent it back to the kitchen to be reheated, but that only made matters worse. We found a fork and knife to be the best method of consuming it, rather than the expected spoon. Finally, our meals came. The fajitas were a surprisingly large serving with plenty of steak, but it was definitely missing the flavor I'd expect from that dish. The fajitas came with a large helping of quacamole, which was little more than a chopped up avocado. Now, don't get me wrong, I love avocado. But if you're gonna call it guacamole, at least add some spices to it! My brother-in-law had the burrito supreme, which was topped with Spaghettio sauce claiming to be salsa (but at least it wasn't overloaded with garlic!) The single best part of our experience was the service. We interacted with a few different servers, all of which were friendly and eager to please. That's honestly the only thing that bumped my rating from 1 to 2 stars. And now, I'm going to brush my teeth a few dozen times to try to did myself of that garlic taste from the salsa. Luckily my wife ate the garlic "salsa" too, so she has to let me sleep in the same bed tonight!

The food was pretty good, especially for the price and portion sizes. What a great value. I had the number 6 and it was quite good. The service was excellent. Wait staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Outdoor seating area was a little small, but nice. Parking might be a bit tricky. The restaurant is on the corner and you have to park around back. I didn't realize at first that the little dirt road is for the parking lot. We were in a nearly new Subaru, so we parked at the Subaru dealership right behind the restaurant and walked over. There wasn't much parking in front of the restaurant, but you might get lucky. Also, no dedicated motorcycle parking that I saw. I did not use the rest room here, so no idea about cleanliness or accessibility.

The food was hit or miss. The mole chicken enchiladas were bland and came out luke warm. The chili rellano was pretty good; bean burrito ok. The margaritas were awful. They tasted like watered down juice concentrate. They were overly sweet and had no detectable traces of tequila. To cap off a mediocre dining experience, they charged us full price for our happy hour margaritas. We arrived 20 minutes before the end of happy hour and ordered promptly. When we brought this up, they argued with us and kept motioning to conflicting signage that actually proved we were correct. We won’t be coming back. There are better Mexican places in Summit.

I'm a big fan of leaving a good review if things go well and leaving a not so good review if there is room for improvement. We went here because it was convenient to where we stayed. The food wasn't bad, but the prices were really high. We felt like it was a "stick it to the gringo" mentality. My husband ordered a chicken quesadilla, and they charged him $17...although, the menu said $8.25. We asked if we could take our chips and salsa to go and they charged us $5...and left the chips & salsa on the table for waste. We ordered three plain ground beef tacos ($15) to go for our son & when we got back to our place, they were not plain and one of our tacos did not even have meat. We had to go back and ask them to fix it. The manager chuckled in front of us and they did not even try to compensate us for our inconvenience of returning. We had to ask that they remake the tacos. I could tell our waitress was embarrassed about the situation....and we were very disappointed. If you go there...just be sure to double check your bill. We usually love Mexican food & eat it often. Needless to say, we will not...

If you’re staying near by and are looking for a place to eat stay away from here!!!

First off let’s start by the people working there are not Mexican since I bring up certain name of traditional dishes and like a deer in headlights they do not know what I am talking about. The food tasted like frozen food put in a microwave. Some bites may be salty others may be hard or even bland.

Had a little discussion with the lady in charge over pricing on the menu versus pricing I was charged which was more than listed on the menu. I was told it was due to the drink being bigger in size which we received in a cup compared to a jar that was displayed on the menu and was told I was getting more for my money which was not the case.

I’ve been to more fancier and way better quality food locations for the same cost I paid for my meal.

Overall I did not have a great experience with the food quality and service. I would definitely recommend checking other locations around don’t waste your time and hard...
