I recently spent an incredible & adventurous solo weekend in Silverthorne, Colorado! Only 75 min from Denver, you should add this artsy little city to your summer bucket-list! Here’s your itinerary for a wonderful mountain weekend in @silverthornecolorado ! [hosted] SAVE for later 📌 Hikes: endless! This area is a hiking mecca. Some trail options include Lilly Lake, Ptarmigan Trail, Acorn Loop, Ute Peak. All various difficulties so please look up recent reviews before heading out. And always remember to leave no trace & clean up after yourself! Eat: here’s where I stuffed my face. 😋 It was all delicious! @eclecticbarandgrill @timberlinecraftkitchen Coffee: so many cute cawfee shops. ☕️ @enzasdeli Stay: @thepadsilverthorne - I had a perfect & private room with a view. Single rooms are pet friendly! And the entire vibe of this place is 🤌🏼 Aerial Park: push your limits at Arapaho Basin’s Aerial Park! Swing through trees and test your balance on elevated obstacle courses. I went with a friend @dirtroadshighheels 🫶🏼 We dominated (the beginner’s section) lol. I’d totally do it again! 🤩 Have you been to Silverthorne? It’s worth a visit. Promise 🌸 @silverthornecolorado #silverthornecolorado #silverthornesummers #coloradosummers #whereartmeetsadventure #colorado #bucketlistadventures #coloradoactivities #silverthorne #coloradoadventures

Silverthorne is a smaller town so there's not a lot of choices beyond chain restaurants, but Yelp's reviews came through with this great recommendation. My husband, son, his fiancee and I sat on the patio to enjoy the spectacular weather. Service was excellent despite further distance from the kitchen. My husband really liked the Smoked Prime Sandwich on a hoagie with cheddar, BUT... truth be told, I tried his side of Cuban corn and it was hard to concentrate on my own order after that. The corn is seasoned beautifully and whatever crunch they put on top is heaven. I had the Pear Salad with mixed greens, roasted pears, goat cheese, candied pepitas, candied sunflower seeds, blackberries, and dried apricot (I added shredded pork on top). I subbed their 10/10 homemade ranch dressing instead. This salad was worthy of a reorder when we return to Silverthorne. I loved everything about it and wouldn't change a thing. We ordered a dessert of the day to share: a deconstructed bread pudding with a sublime whipped creation and candy on top. The portion wasn't huge, but in all fairness, it was too delicious to share after all and hadn't advertised as shareable. The patio could use a little tidying with the landscaping, etc. but this restaurant is indeed eclectic and beautiful otherwise.

I should be giving this place a 5, but I want to challenge them before my next return visit to keep tweaking the menu. We had the high alpine conditions drink to start - my new favorite in the mountains. This one will NOT disappointed for any drinker - not too sweet, soft herbal flavor, and a beautiful smoky smell on the glass that will leave you wanting more (and the entire table enjoying the pleasure). For food we checked out the avocado egg roll, picked vegetable crudite and fried fingerlings. The egg roll was an awesome change from a traditional approach and the sauce that came with it made my mouth happy! I would love to see them try out fried avocados. :) The pickled veggies were a bit too spicy for the table, but a good menu option to check out. The fried fingerlings were so delicious they were gone before I could get more than one to taste! I highly recommend this side, even if you’re here for a brief happy hour. Service was great and everyone was super friendly. This is a solid choice for anyone looking for a modern take on a mountain bar/restaurant. I can’t wait to return and hope to move it up to a 5 on the next visit!

I had the strawberry habanero wings, avocado egg rolls, and a bison prime rib sandwich to go, and was eating within ten minutes of picking my food up. The wings came without sauce, and were so bland that I threw them away after eating one. The egg rolls tasted sour, like it had been prepped weeks ago, and just fried up the night I ate it. I also threw them away after eating one piece of one egg roll. The bison was slimy, and also tasted like it had been cooked and portioned over a week ago, just to be reheated and served to me that night. That makes three dishes that I threw away after a single bite, and those three bites I took made me so nauseous I puked. My girlfriend ordered a strawberry salad that I can’t remember the name of, a different flavor of wings, and a kids Mac and cheese. Her wings also came without sauce, and were thrown away after she ate one because she didn’t like them. She took two bites of the salad before trashing it, and moving on to her kids Mac and cheese. Only, at that point she found out it tasted like her KIDS Mac and cheese was made with pepperjack cheese. She can’t eat peppers, which is why she ordered the KIDS Mac and cheese. Since it had peppers, it also got thrown away after one bite. After how dissatisfied we were with the other 6 dishes, we just threw the dessert out without trying it. We spent around $140 for this experience, and tipped over 20%, and were originally just going to write it off as an off night in the kitchen. BUT, after being told by staff that I’m lying about my experience and the effects the food had on me, I feel it’s necessary to post my experience on a public review so that people know there’s a possibility it could happen...

It was a domino effect of failure. While I can see it be circumstantial, it's hard not to note all of the failures back to back to back. It started with watching the host give our reserved table to a group of people in front of us without reservations. Then, when he acknowledged the mistake, he started frantically doing other things to avoid the conversation. This is a resort town, you make reservations or you stand around for hours waiting. So we suggest he seat us at a small table and add extra chairs. He does so. We proceed to recieve help from one of the bartenders which you can tell is already super rushed. We recieve our drinks in a normal time and immediately order food. This is sadly where we Then proceed to wait an hour to get our food. In this time we watch the group that recieved our reservations, eat, eat dessert and leave. Then we recieve our food and at which point it could have been Michelin star quality, but our mouths were already full of the sour flavor of neglect that it wouldn't matter. Newsflash, it wasn't that high quality. I would say it was good but not great, but as you can tell my opinion is slightly scued. That being said, we came here on vacation and we're disappointed surrounded by our loved ones for suggesting a place that ruined our experience. Wouldn't suggest, wouldn't come back, and on top of the trash pile that was this experience. You get a tip of the hat with an automatic 20% gratuity. In conclusion I would say the only thing satisfying about this experience was realizing when it was over. Do yourself a favor and grab some Wendy's at the gas station...

Gosh… I grew up in this town.. Murphy’s … was our family to “go” place…for years… modest foods but loving and charming with few min service in small mountain town on basic foods…😉 I took my old Ma to our old “new” place today, Sept 5, 2022. Labor weekend. The Murphy’s became “Eclectic…” -and so by definition, eclec·tic | \ i-ˈklek-tik , e- \ is Heterogeneous or 1 : composed of elements drawn from various sources No heterogeneous what so ever. We asked for several items On menu and we were rejected, “we are out.” Of course, we were locals and used to be underserved and always understanding the lack of work force here… so…. We asked for BASIC hamburgers, so We waited 108min (I can even post exact min and seconds) on how much it took us both just to get old fashioned burgers… So, even for us (my Mom mostly), next time I am in town, I would rather go to Whole Foods or Kroger to get my basic foods in really reasonable times … than hanging in that “eclectic” place nearly 2 hours…on basic burgers?? We are “happy” as we didn’t order appetizers 😵‍💫 Our “next door” table was waiting for their basic appetizers for 46 min… we left 1hr 28 min later and our table neighbors were about to drop off their order and pay for their appetizers and walk away and they didn't have their main courses yet… To you “Eclectic” … you better change your name to “We might or might not take care of you and we have basic generic food track” … NOT heterogeneous food supply...
