High Country Artisans — Attraction in Silverthorne

On 7-6 we visited two stores at the Silverthorne Outlet Mall. High Country Artisan is an art store. There was a framed photo that I liked. I gave the woman in charge 2 $100 bills. She put them into her box to check if they were real & declared they were counterfeit. This money had been in a safe for 10 years. I ended up using my Citi Card. Next we walked to the William Sonoma store. I bought a pitcher with the CitiCard. The very blond clerk wrapped the pitcher & placed in the same bag as the photo. Some how my Citi Card was stolen in that store. We drove to a restaurant & my phone rang with an unknown number. I hung up as I always do. The phone rang again so I answered. It was the local Police calling about the counterfeit bills. I met the officer outside the restaurant. I was more than “po” that was happening. I didn’t realize my card was missing until I went to pay for my meal. I canceled my card. The next day the woman at the art store called to tell Mr my card was in her CC machine. Amazing, authentic Colorado artisan boutique! We had a delightful visit with Judy who makes among other art pieces the most amazing junk journals out of the most unexpected wrappers (bought for a special friend, made from a a medicine box, and full of secret pockets and messages), she also paints delicate watercolors and Abby who makes beautiful art from broken glass her hummingbird is adorning our Xmas trees.
