HIGH DOLLAR DOES NOT MEAN QUALITY SERVICE.
We called at least 10 hours in advance to create a reservation however, when we arrived on time, our table was not ready and we had to wait an additional “10 minutes” (which would lead to a huge delay) for our table to be prepared just for them to end up giving our table to a walk-in party. It was upsetting to see that they failed to consider our reservation thus extending our wait time even though we did our due diligence scheduling ahead of time . Only to fail because of this restaurant’s poor management. The staff tried to justify their decisions by saying “You know how walk-in reservations are…”. As if we did not take the time to reserve our table and show up promptly. To add insult to injury, staff was not apologetic and instead made excuses and blamed US by saying we “arrived late”… when either way we were there first. Moreover, the owner continuously gaslights each and every customer that made a reservation and was delayed in being seated. They reiterate that they “do not accept reservations” yet they fully ACCEPTED our reservation 10 hours in advance. Should stick to gaslighting the steaks instead of the customers.
It would be different if this was regular restaurant but this is suppose to be a high end experience. We were expecting a level of service worth the price tag. Whereas you could get better hospitality and time management at a fast food chain.
Google has marked this place as 3 dollar signs ($$$) yet you still have to prepare your steak yourself? I understand that this is part of the experience but at least have an option for those who solely come to dine (side note: I’m going to a steak restaurant; I came to EAT, NOT cook).
Lastly, I would like to add that if you are a person of color (POC) please choose to dine elsewhere since they will fully disregard your party. The owner is convinced that they are inclusive yet almost every single negative review (where they were delayed service or simply never seated) has come from a person of color. Clearly your actions speak louder than your words and you’re making silly, pathetic excuses to avoid being called out as racist and discriminatory.
We ended up leaving because the host would come by every 5 minutes telling us “your table is ready but it should be another 4 minutes” (keep in mind he did this at least 2 other times…)
From the unprofessional service, poor management, lack of options and accountability, and disregard for the customers it’s not worth the price tag at all. Save yourself the trouble. So all-in-all, dine at your...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Mint Steak and Seafood in the charming Dillon area of Colorado, and what an incredible experience it was! From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly matched the restaurant's rich historical charm.
But what truly made our visit exceptional was the outstanding service provided by our server, Amanda. From the first interaction, Amanda showed a genuine passion for her job, going above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was beyond compare. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and truly made us feel like honored guests. Her professionalism and friendly demeanor added a personal touch that made our evening even more enjoyable.
Now, let's talk about Bella, the adorable dog who stole our hearts. Bella, a beloved resident of Mint Steak and Seafood, added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience. Her presence created a warm and welcoming ambiance that made the restaurant feel like a home away from home. Bella was beautifully well-behaved, and her gentle nature put a smile on my wife and I.
In terms of the food, Mint Steak and Seafood truly exceeded our expectations. The menu boasts an impressive selection of steak and seafood dishes, that you get the pleasure of cooking yourself with all the seasoning your heart desires. The flavors were exceptional, and each dish was a work of art on a plate cooked up by my lovely chef wife. From succulent steaks to delicious simple sides with non- pretentious prices, every bite was pure bliss.
The historic setting of Mint Steak and Seafood added an extra layer of uniqueness to the dining experience that was slightly unexpected in a rapidly growing area of new development that feels, and for the most part was built around this unforgettable place. The restaurant beautifully combines the charm of the past with the modern comforts of today. From the exposed stonework walls to the antique decor, every detail transports you to a bygone era while still providing a comfortable and elegant dining environment.
I cannot recommend Mint Steak and Seafood enough. In addition to the wonderful food and the enchanting ambiance, the exceptional service by Amanda truly made our visit unforgettable. Whether you're a local or a visitor to the Dillon area, be sure to make a reservation at Mint Steak and Seafood and prepare yourself for an outstanding dining experience.
Note: Please keep in mind that Bella the dog's presence may vary, as this adorable fur baby is subject to...
Read moreFirst things first, our waiter Jason was awesome! He explained how the restaurant worked, where to get our food, seasonings, etc. He even patiently waited for my husband and I to finish up our prayers before setting our food on the table. I really appreciate that respect. So thank you, Jason!!!( He had previously left the table before we said prayers over our meal.)
Now, this restaurant does not look like anything like it does on the outside. The interior is more of a bar atmosphere. My husband and I were attempting to have a date night and were very overdressed. They have an all you can eat salad bar. We enjoyed that we got to pick out our meat and cook it on the grill ourselves. It was definitely different than any restaurant we had been to. All sides are a la carte. Oh, and unlimited Texas toast, which you also must cook yourself on the grill. They have a container of butter sitting next to the bread that you can spread on before putting your toast on the grill. All seasonings for the meat are around the grill. This restaurant is also reasonably priced.
Now the reason for my 3 stars. My husband and I were cooking our food. Some children came up to make their Texas toast. It was fine. The kids buttered their toast and were having fun. No biggie. Well, their parents walked up with their steaks to put on the grill. The kids each grab their steaks and begin seasoning. One of them decided he wanted butter on his steak. No big deal, right? WRONG! THIS child took the utensil used to spread the butter on the toast to spread the butter on his meat. Then, once he was finished, he took he same utensil and put it back in the butter!!! Yes, he touched his raw steak with the butter spreader and put it back in the butter where others were using butter for Texas toast. My husband and I were mortified by the cross-contamination! This kid did this 3 more times while his parents just watched him do the same thing. Needless to say. We didn't get any more Texas toast for fear of getting sick. We did mention this to our waiter, Jason.
Also, please be aware that there are no doors to the restroom stalls. They...
