Courtyard by Marriott Nashville Smyrna — Hotel in Smyrna

This hotel is one of the nicer hotels that I've stayed at in the Smyrna area. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. My friend and I found the beds comfortable. Our travel companions found the mattresses to be too soft and thought they were uncomfortable. That is my one reason for giving 4 starts instead of 5. The other is that there are only two carts to take luggage to your room and for two days neither cart was available. When we left, both carts had been returned.

The handicapped bathroom had a tub that was surrounded with grab bars. My friend was afraid she might slip in the tub because there wasn't a bath mat. She was able to use a towel and felt more sturdy on her feet.

The air conditioner was a unit in the room but we found it to be more than adequate. We very much appreciated the refrigerator and microwave. We did not use the exercise facility but it looked like it had a variety of equipment.

We found the onsite restaurant to be a little pricey. But there are a variety of restaurants close and convenient.

Never have I ever wrote a review on a hotel but this one I will talk about . The rooms and the location was great , but the customer services was horrible. I was treated very badly. My room didn’t get cleaned properly. When I complained about it ,no one seemed to care . I asked the front clerk was the manager there; he said yes , but then he came back out and said she went to the bank . Never will I ever stay at this hotel again. I’ve never been treated this poorly. It’s a shame when you pay your hard earn money and get treated a certain way .I’m not going to say why I thought I was being treated that way, but if you can read in between the lines you’ll understand . We stayed at this hotel during Thanksgiving while visiting family. First of all, it’s a nice looking hotel. Clean and new. Next, it’s a great location if you want to be near Nashville. Next, I must give a special shout out to Marny at the bar. She was sooo nice, welcoming and very funny! She made us and everyone at the bar feel so special. I will simply go back just to sit at her bar and get a good drink and a laugh. She makes an amazing expresso martini!!!

My only “complaint” and it has nothing to do with this location is I am not a fan of the open shower. Water goes everywhere! Oh and full length mirror is needed. But these are pointed to...
