Hello! I’m Johnna, and I am not employed by Salt Barn, but I am an independent contractor. I would like to offer anyone that mentions this post 10 percent off a first time massage with yours truly :) You see, I was the massage therapist that worked on the one-star client below. Such a frustrating review. I just want to state the facts. I rescued a new dog, 2 years 12lbs, trained, and was stuck in a position where I live about an hour away and I was unaware no one would be around to let him out of his crate. I was working 9-6. The owner hesitantly agreed to me keeping him crated, up front and out of site, but I do not think she was a fan of the idea. That was the first and only time a dog has been in the spa. The client was the first of the day, and saw me bring him in- I got there 30 minutes early to put him behind and under the front desk. The treatment rooms are literally in a different addition on the opposite side of the building. If the ambiance wasn’t set up correctly, it could have been because we weren’t actually open yet, and I had the client on the table before her actual massage started. The client was extremely nice, and tipped generously. The following is MY opinion, not SB. I find it sad that the dog’s presence is what the issue was here, nothing else, and the client left a one star review after receiving a great massage which is what she came for. It’s especially stabbing that she hasn’t been to Salt Barn in two years, yet so causally threw a grenade at this locally owned business for literally doing me a one time favor. The owner was so upset, and I have literally lost sleep over the fact that I earned her a bad review. I couldn’t even respond until now I’ve been so frustrated with this review; and I’m not getting paid for the time it has stolen emotionally, and the time I’m taking to respond to this. I have worked at spas in Nashville that are dog friendly (only up front) and my chiropractor in Green Hills has two. Green Hills. I’ve worked on the Titans and musicians at said spas, so saying that we aren’t classy is a matter of your opinion. If anyone would like to google my name Johnna S. Graves, I only have excellent reviews, and again, if you mention this post I’d LOVE to offer a massage for 10 percent off! Form your OWN opinion about the spa, and unfortunately other humane loving dog owners, no dog will be present EVER going forward in this spa. Not even a PAW...
Read moreI’m thoroughly disappointed. My husband scheduled a bundle deal for me and scheduling was a nightmare. I finally got in and got a great massage from V (one of the only reasons this is not a one star). I came in the next day for a facial and the chair made my back hurt so bad I might as well not have had the massage. Later that day my face started burning and feeling so dry. It continually got worse to where I had to go to Dermatology. Not to mention that they charged $220 for services that with that bundle should have been closer to $175. The esthetician tried to lie and say she didn’t use any enzyme mask until my husband told her she told me she did. She also was extremely combative when he was just trying to figure out what it was so I could tell my dermatologist. Their solution was giving me a massage at cost. I was looking forward to it until I got stuck in traffic that extended my drive there by 40minute (it took me an hour instead of 20 min) and they said I’d get 15min. I have mercy for a lot, but the fact that every step we’ve met people that seem to not want our business and then not care that they are making up for an expensive dumpster fire experience when I’m less than 10min late. I will never be back and honestly regret ever going. V was the only good...
Read moreMy husband and I signed up for a massage together as a couple at this spa center. In addition, in a telephone conversation with the manager, I was assured that I would have a woman as a massage therapist, and my husband would have a man, as I expected, otherwise I would not have made the recording. But when we arrived, it turned out that they had only one masseur, a woman, and my husband had to wait for me for an hour, and then when they gave him a massage, I had to wait for my husband for an hour. There was no massage for the couple, as promised, and there was no separation of massage therapists by gender.... and, of course, the price increased only from the agreed $250 to $295 at billing. The massage was not bad, but not on the terms that were planned and agreed with the administrator! I do not advise anyone to visit this institution, they cheat there.🤷♀️
I will add my review. A week later, the spa called me back and they really wanted to refund me the $40. This surprised me a lot. I asked the receptionist to give these 40$ to the woman who gave us a massage that day....
