The experience of buying the bed was great. Sales rep was great. Met all expectations. The issue now comes down to delivery.
We ordered the bed before Presidents’ Day. Almost 2 full months ago now. First delay, due to weather. Which is completely understandable for Maine.
The second delay is delivery was due to missing freight. The customer service rep was understand and kind so we reschedule again. For today.
Wake up to another phone call telling us they don’t have our mattress again… so this is now the third time I have had a delivery rescheduled on the day it was suppose to be delivered.
So if I actually get the bed in the 4th try it will Be two months since order… for something so expansive the fact this happens so often is completely and utterly ridiculous. I would love to have my bed, but at this point the headache is beginning to be worse then the back ache from my old worn out bed I intended on replacing.
Make sure if you order from this company you are aware they have terrible logistics when it comes to warehousing and delivery of the actual bedding.
Their fedex shipping items such as pillows and sheets is great. You’ll get that on time. The bed…. Say a prayer or too. Maybe you’ll get it.
I must once again stress that the customer service reps I have talked too through this entire issue have been understanding, professional and caring. However I am extremely displeased with the ability to get a order delivered to me. Especially considering you pay thousands of dollars for these beds.
I just pray the bed is worth the wait because I’m beginning to lose my composure with this situation.
Note to all others buying from them, make sure you order a bed before your old bed is in super rough shape because you may have to keep waiting months to...
Read moreUpdate: We just Upgraded to a Select Comfort P5 with cooling and it's amazing. We also purchased the Flex Fit 1 Base which allows the head of the bed to rise. This is helpful for people who snore or have sinus issues (like me:) and the new bed also tracks your Sleep IQ. Basically it tracks how long it takes you to fall asleep, any bed exits, any disruptions to your sleep and when you are in deep sleep. When it works correctly it's pretty interesting. Also you can turn it off so that it's not tracking your sleep activity if you're just laying down in bed to read or doing something else:)
Old bed review: We've had our select comfort bed for 14 years and it's still like new. While my wife is one of those set and forget sleepers (her number is 35) I, on the other hand, have a bad back and neck (I've had back surgery too) and at times I need my settings at 95 for comfort while at other times 65 or 75 will do. I have no idea what we would have done if we had a regular spring bed. Also, two years ago the machine that sends air to the bed would only work on one side. I called select comfort and they were very helpful and because I still had 10 years left on our warranty I only had to pay less then half price for the new (and better) one. When this bed outlives its useful life we will definitely replace it with a new select...
Read moreWhile searching for the right mattress, we met Casey at the South Portland store during the July 4th sale. Casey was very patient with our many questions and helped us narrow down our preferences by having us try each mattress. We wanted to do more research before making this big purchase, so we did. When Labor Day sales arrived, we tried almost everything else out there and nothing compared to Sleep Number, so when Casey gave us a courtesy call to let us know about their latest sale, we revisited our choices and I made the sale over the phone with Casey. He made the transaction easy and fun. He even helped us stay in budget with his suggestions and we were happy to also order some accessories for 30% off. Casey has been one of the best sales people we’ve ever worked with. He’s knows everything about Sleep Number products and is honest when answering questions. Overall a very positive experience, and we credit Casey for that. Thanks for making it fun, Casey, and we wish...
