The food here was excellent and interesting. The menu is huge and there is something for everyone.
The Tokyo crab Rangoon was very different from any crab Rangoon I have had before. It was coated in tempura before it was fried and it came with a sauce that was very much like a citrusy applesauce and everyone loved it.
The pork belly bao was thin pork but not a lot of fat. It was beautiful and well seasoned.
The Out of Control roll had a large portion of salmon on top, and was not in the least bit fishy.
The Tokyo monster roll was a stunner. It was definitely not the biggest sushi roll. I’ve ever had like the menu says, but it may have been the best. It’s topped with scallops and Parmesan cheese, which doesn’t sound good, but it absolutely is. The whole topping was crispy. If you order any roll, it should be this one.
The beef stick was very tender and a huge portion. It was sweet and it took a little work to get the sticks out since they were buried inside, but definitely worth the time.
The ribeye was nice, but I would choose the beef stick over the ribeye next time. The portion of meat and the flavor was preferable in the beef stick.
The lobster and filet mignon we’re both wonderful. The filet mignon was a thinner cut that I have seen before. I asked for medium rare, and got something closer to medium, which doesn’t surprise me because it was a little thin. But that being said it was butter soft inside and seasoned well. The lobster was also nice and not over cooked. No butter was served with the lobster, but there were two sauces I had never tasted before and both were delicious. The lobster in filet mignon also came on a bed of vegetables, which I did not taste, because we had so much other food.
The spicy scallop roll was basic. I wouldn’t order it again.
The fried rice was OK and probably not worth almost 9$. If fried rice isn’t your favorite thing, skip it.
The toffee cake was good. It’s really just a Bundt cake but it does come with two scoops of coconut ice cream. I really enjoyed the ice cream but if you are not a fan of big chunks of coconut, you might want to ask for a different ice cream.
The coconut ice cream tempura was definitely the star of the show. It is crispy on the outside and doesn’t have that gooey texture that fried ice cream sometimes has when they fry it and then refreeze it I would 100% order this again.
The service was great. Our server was prompt with drink refills. The only thing I can mention is that they did not offer us steak knives, and both the steak and the meat sticks were large pieces that needed to be cut. They did bring them when...
Read moreI share in the unpleasantries of dining at your restaurant. I made reservations a few days before knowing it may be a bit busy. I had reservations for party of six at 7 PM. We did not get called until almost 7:20pm. First, the purpose for making reservations is to be seated hopefully within a few minutes of the reservation time. If somebody makes a reservation a table should be reserved and set aside for that party and for the amount of people in the party, that way you don’t have to wait that’s the whole purpose of a reservation. Not when it was convenient for the restaurant to do so. I felt that they crammed six of us plus a baby in a smaller area well another large party next to us have more room at there table. The service was very poor the server barely came around to see how we were doing with drinks if we needed any refills on anything. I had people in my party that wanted items from the kitchen and did not receive their items till after everybody else almost done eating. I had another person in my party that ordered an alcohol beverage and he stated that he did not taste anything close to what he ordered more water down than anything else. His food was grossly prepared and did not consume much of it at all. Personally I ordered steak and chicken combo and never once received any chicken. I really don’t think the cook knew what he was doing,he was better at flipping the utensils then he was at cooking the food. Trying to have a conversation with my girlfriend sitting right next to me was almost impossible. The rice and the noodles had very bland flavors the steak I had was overcooked when I asked for medium rare. Never once did the cook apologize for not giving me any chicken yet never offered to make me chicken. The only good thing that I did have was two bottles of beer, thankfully they were bottled at a brewery and not at this restaurant. I could’ve went into the mall and to the food court and had Japanese food there. It probably would have been better food. I guess the only good thing I take away from this experience besides the beer is the fact that I will never return to your restaurant again. Nor will I recommend this restaurant to anybody. I’ve eaten a Japanese restaurants in Japan before. I’ve had hibachi style and my experience with extremely wonderful. Maybe have really Japanese employees that know Japanese traditions and have them run this restaurant. I felt like I...

My husband, son, and I went for the first time last night. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF A DATE NIGHT!
We chose to do the dining area rather than hibachi just because the age of our son, and I really hope that the hibachi is better. But we will not be returning to find out.
Our waitress was awful! Never introduced herself, never said hello, just expected us to know what we wanted as soon as we reached our table. She was very impatient and made us feel very stupid when we were learning the menu! The only kids menu is for hibachi so she told us we couldn't order from there, then she told us that we could get it made in the kitchen. Once we did order we got our soup and salad AND my husbands meal all at one time. He got the Unagi Don and even upon its arrival he said it wasnt hot, and the rice was under cooked. He had the house saki as well (served hot) he said it was good, little more bland than he expected, but good. My meal came next, I got the teriyaki rib eye, the plate was hot but the rib eye wasnt quite hot. However it was the worst rib eye I've ever had. Very chewy, zero teriyaki flavor! My rice was perfect though. My sons chicken arrive shortly after my meal, his was by far the best thing at our table! It was hot and flavorful, and a very sizable portion. Once we made it half way through our meal my husbands sushi roll came out. It was huge, and warm, we weren't sure if it was supposed to be served hot or cold, but it was neither. Husband said it was okay for flavor but he expected more. When our waitress brought it she put it on our table then just left before we could ask for new drinks, my drink was completely empty. The only time our waitress checked on us both my husband and I had a mouthful of food and she again was gone before we could say anything. We were furious. The next time we were able to find her my husband asked for the check, she said nothing and simply brought it and set it on the table. The bill was $70, honestly you should NOT leave a dinner date hungry after paying that much...
