Stayed here while in town for a volleyball tournament. Last year my club booked us at the other Marriott in town, and having now experienced both, I think some of the negative reviews here especially about hearing other guests or older construction must be about the other (taller) one. The other has been here since I was in college 15 years ago. This was honestly night and day. The other is nice for what it is, and I do love their breakfast. But the Courtyard has been amazing! So quiet in the rooms, including the heating/cooling unit. TV gives tons of options from regular TV to gaming and Netflix. Everything in the whole place seems up-to-date and how you'd want it! Definitely a little hard to access as you get used to it, and yes, you'll end up on the interstate if you go one exit too far on the traffic circle. Otherwise tho, my two kiddos and I have had a perfect visit and I haven't heard of any bad experiences from all of our teams playing here, either. Kudos to the great staff, as well!

First look at the room it looks very nice and clean. We did however find mold on the end tables. There isn't a microwave in the room, but beside the ice dispenser in the hallway. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything around you. The decor could use an update. No vending machines, but they have an area in the lobby where they sell candy and drinks, but it was very limited in what they had. The shower was a handicap one but it was huge and had two showerheads which was nice. The free breakfast was your standard items, but it wasn't bad. Over all, the hotel wasn't bad. The mold really is why my rating is so low.

I stay at Marriott properties almost exclusively, and picked this one because it was free to me (with points). It was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I asked for extra towels and had them quickly. Those are the pros - the cons are it is really hard to find. The sign was blown out and we had to make a few tries before we found it, even with GPS directions on our phone. If you're trying to find it, it's almost behind the Waffle House, if that helps. Low water pressure in the shower. It was perfectly fine for us, but I wouldn't want to stay here for very long.

Find a better more family oriented place to stay..

Our experience was not the best.   Staying at this hotel may not be an option in the future for us or anyone we know.

We were a late arrival (about midnight) on July 3.  We checked in and went to our room. There was some commotion in the room next to us, but it quieted down before we went to bed. It was assumed that it was another family that arrived late like we did.

We spent July 4th with family and arrived back to the hotel about 3:45AM to get some sleep before our departure later that morning.  Our "neighbors" in 302 were loud, rough housing and had a female or two. Maybe the guys were rough housing as there were sounds of a possible fight, while a female was laughing and joing in but then again the female could be heard as they were banging up against the adjoining door. I have kids that didn't need to hear this.

We figured they would quiet down by the time we were settled for bed.  However, that is not what happened. 302 got louder and louder. Lots of loud talking,  banging and commotion going on in that room.  Sounded like a few guys and at least 1 girl (possibly more) with all the laughing and carrying on.  At one point they were banging up against the door that separated our rooms. 🤔 Party of 3 or more?

This continued for about 45 min to an hour.  We were finally granted some peace about 5AM.

We tried several times to contact the front desk, no one answered!  I called from my cell phone and it still went thru the same loop and no one answered!

Around 11AM, my husband went downstairs to get another towel.  Our room only had two towels for 4 people.  No one had serviced the room in our absence so there was still trash in our room that had not been taken out but clearly,  some  rooms had been serviced as there was trash piled up next to the ice machine on the third floor from before 11AM 7/4 and still remained there when we left at noon on the 5th. The lady at the desk was on her cell phone and reading a book.   My husband was going to speak to her about room 302 and the noise,  but she wouldn't get off her cell phone long enough for him to speak to her.

When we were checking out, I spoke to the young lady and informed her about room 302. I was then told " if you had come and said something we could have moved you"  I said at 4:30 in the morning? When check out was less than 8 hours away?  I informed her that I had tried to call the front desk but no one answered.  She said "our phones don't work properly and our patrons have to call from their cell phones" ok, no worries, because I did call from my cell phone and it went thru the same loop and still no answer.  She had no response other than looking up who was in 302. She said "that room is rented out to someone that gets the room for their employees. It's a suite."

So for my aggravation and the crap my kids had to hear from the next room, I was offered a "Sorry, thanks for letting me know" ...

The Hotel was not that busy or over crowed with cars in the parking lot.  If you knew that 302 was rented out to "employees of someone " and those people are busy with whatever sex games, rough housing, fighting etc... DON'T RENT OUT 304  at the same time!

Not a pleasant stay After I sent this info to the hotel, I received an auto reply that they were on vacation from 7/2 to 7/10. 🤔 when cat is away the...

I had several issues with my stay. First, the key not working which I realized after leaving the room almost immediately after checking in. The lady at the front desk, who was nice, was not able to immediately get me a new key made as the machine was not working properly, but with the help of the night manager, she finally got the machine working and I returned to my room. I had left one of the complimentary cookies available downstairs on a napkin and I found it covered in ants upon my return. I tried to call downstairs but the room phone was not working either. After calling downstairs from my cell phone, the lady working the front desk told me she was logging the issues, offered me complimentary breakfast, and offered to move me to another room. In the morning, I tried to redeem the complimentary breakfast. The lady at bistro bar (the hotel restaurant) was very irrate and insisted as I was not with a corporate group that there was no way she would offer me complimentary breakfast. I tried to have her speak to the front desk but she refused. I asked if could step out of line to speak with them myself, and she pretended not to hear me, even though it was my turn. There was a very long line as she was the only person working, but I got out of line and went to the front desk. Even though the event manager (highest manager on duty) did not find the events logged from last night, she was nice enough to offer me the complimentary breakfast. When I returned and tried to order, the employee at the restaurant was extremely rude again and was ignoring me. When she finally took my order, she made a point of preparing several peoples orders first before mine, and then made me wait several minutes longer for my coffee, again serving coffee to people who ordered after me. When I relayed all this to the event manager, she assured me that the GM or the assistant GM would reach out to me. Neither of these things happened. I am confident in saying that this hotel is not up to Marriot standards. Would...

I give the Sonesta 0 stars due to the poor customer service. I stayed one night March 5th. They charge $100 incidental fee which was fine. I checked out on March 6th. As I reviewed my account and additional $100 was taken . I called and they said it was cliche in the system and they would refund it in 3-5 days. Then a few hours later an additional $65.80 was taken. When I called back they advised me that the incidental fee was taxed but I had to advise them that was already taken out. So now a total of $265.80 has been taken from my account. I asked to have the general manager to call me and he never called. I called him today and he began to just tell me initially about authorizations and how they work instead of looking at my account . Then he showed no empathy. Just said he couldn’t do anything about it and it would be 3-7 business days. Not once did he apologize. Then I asked him who do I make a formal complaint to he told me that I could Google it. So as a guest in his hotel there was no empathy shown for the inconvenience that his “hotel system “caused and as a travel agent I will definitely advise my clients not to stay at any Sonesta Select’s. This was extremely poor...
