Had to. Put a star. Way above what should be given. Went to buy a flat top kitchen stove. Liked the salesman. Bought a 4 piece kitchen set. Stove microwave dish washer. Refrigerator. On May 16. Said about two weeks. $3600. Didn’t hear a thing called on the. 9th of June for status. This is where all started to unfold. Asked for sales man WAS TOLD DAY OFF NEXT REPLY ARE YOU GOING TO PAY REMAINING BALANCE. I asked if the kitchen was in. She stated. SHE BELIEVED A PIECE CAME IN I asked. If all were ready. I DONT KNOW. SALESMAN ONLY HAS THAT INFO I asked when a what came in. BEEN THERE SINCE THE 6 th. Asked if all. DONT KNOW. next day. Called again. I Ispoke with manager. Later at end of day salesman left message. Today. Went voiced my concerns on how customers should be updated. And how the person asking for payment should show a little more professionalism. Paid balance 1800 aprox. Went home set delivery all ok. Now down pay of 2000. They taxed on whole purchase. Went home looked at paperwork. Paid balance aprox 1800. Paid tax on whole purchase. 6.5%tax was 6.5%plus 6.5%. Called. Asked for salesman forwarded. To voicemail. So called back again asked for. Manager. Said her name now The lady that answered phone. Corrected. Her name. And said. The manager is BOB NOT TESSA She started laughing at me. I stated. Don’t you laugh at me. Don’t know who is manager. But when I paid balance the salesman said Tessa is manager as he was busy with customer so was going to. Have another take care of payment and delivery. Prior to this no one knows any info on anything. And. My salesman was off work and no one has any knowledge on my kitchen. Now all i wanted at this point was. A return of 6.5% tax on 3600 dollars. The person laughed at me now deal is over I don’t want this kitchen. So salesman called. Back said no way I was charged 2 times for tax. I told him cancel due to being treated like a fool he needed my cards for refund he was at about 6 sorry at this point not giving cards over phone I went there. Read moreIn mid Sept I came in to buy a refrigerator and an electric range. I was supposed to close on my house about a week later. Unfortunately, hurricane Ian came through and delayed my closing by a week. Delivery was set for Sept 30. On Sept 28th I called the store and told Bill, my sales guy that closing was delayed so I need to reschedule my delivery. He said "no problem. Give us a call when you are ready. Your appliances will be here." Friday Oct 7th, i called to tell Bill I had closed and would let to schedule delivery of my appliances. We finally connected the next day, Saturday, only for him to tell me the store sold my refrigerator! After telling me "yeah, yeah, it's fine" Apparently he put a date of October 30th (why I have NO idea) on the paperwork, so they returned it to stock! So here I am, no refrigerator. they said they'd reorder it but it wouldn't be in until end of October, so I went elsewhere. Who does that? the rest of the state is accommodating, due to natural disaster, and Famous Tate takes the opportunity to make a buck? It was 1 week, not 2, not 3, not a month. 1 week! And nothing , not even an "I'm so sorry" to make up for it! My range was delivered today. 3 guys to wheel in a range and plug it in. Only after they left did I realize they hadn't adjusted the range and it was sitting below the counter height! Um, seriously? there were 3 of you and that was what you call "installed?' I mean, I can plug it in myself, for Pete's sake! So, there I am, by myself, trying to figure out how to lift a range to adjust the feet, so I can cook dinner without melting my counter tops and setting my house on fire. I am a single person and don't have anyone to help me, so it's kind of a big deal. And again, 3 dudes, showed up to plug it in! Come on! You can do better I heard such great things about this store and had such high hopes and they failed me miserably all around. It would take a lot at this point to make me come back...
Read moreFew weeks ago I had my current dishwasher that the pump failed and I wound up with 1 inch of water in my kitchen. My plumber tested my dishwasher and it was determined that it was the dishwasher pump. Any how, I had to go shopping for a new dishwasher, not something I wanted to do. I had read reviews of how good Famous Tate's was, so I went there first at the Spring Hill location and I was greeted with smiles from everyone. Heather was my sales person and what a pleasure to work with. She listened to my needs and we found a good model for my budget. I did ask that I could shop around and she was gracious and said "y0es of course." I went to Lowe's and Home Depot and I got nothing but bad experience going there. I came back to Famous Tate's after about an hour. Famous Tate's even gave me a military discount where Lowe's does not do anymore with major appliances Home Depot kind of does, they work with the AAFES exchange system which doesn't help me I live to far away. Famous Tate's installer prices were great as well. They were the cheapest. My plumber company I work with were not far off but I decided I mine as well go with what Famous Tate uses. My installer was Mike and what a pleasure to work with as well.. he called the night before to give me the time frame which was between 12pm and 3pm. The day of he called bout 11:40 and said he was 20 mins away. Talk about great customer service experience through out the whole buying process. Thank you for making a crappy situation into a great experience. Will definitely shop there again when it's time...
