IF YOU ARE TRYING THIS RESTURAUNT PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE POST FIRST TO FIND OUT WHY I GAVE IT A 4. This resturuant is one of my favorites. They are under new owners. It used to be a gross all you can eat called ‘Legends Sushi’. Now they are called ‘Momiji’ and are the same owners who run Crazy Sushi at wiregrass mall in wesley chapel area my all time favorite. The only reason I was at this one was because my friend lives in weeki wachi and my friend and I in Tampa. Their food is amazing best appetizers and sushi around. As for why they are getting a 3 stars. The server we had was probably the rudest server I have ever had in my life. This is an all you can eat sushi buffet my friend and I are bodybuilders and order several appetizers and sushis at one time, and it can be overwhelming which is understandable on a friday night running 8 other tables. We are used to A+ service at crazy sushi. And I was told by the owner that all the waitresses are there to help. Our own waitress was rude and would walk by us with quickness just to avoid us and when we got a question out like a refill or more wasabi, something small she would ignore us or go “not right now” She was really rude when my friend asked her to refill my diet pepsi and placed it on the table rather hard when she did. We had this conversation with the manager about how we were being treated and she apologized to us and thanked us for always eating at crazy sushi. She said she would talk to the waitress because her attitude was unacceptable. She heard us talking to the manager. And when we paid she passive aggressivly with a tone in her voice told us “HAVE SUCH A NICE DAY” very unnaceptable response to the paying customers who just were ordering at a buffet. The owner found herself helping us more than our own waitress. My friend who lives in weeki wachi does not want to come back. I do not mention names and will not...
Read moreTerrible experience. Ordered shrimp tempura, never received it. Was brought 1 drink in the 2-3 hours we spent there. Service was extremely inattentive, took us about 30 mins before our server finally came over and took our drink order then an additional 20 minutes for him to come back and take our food order, first round of food came out quick, sushi was good. Server came back and asked if we wanted more, I ordered 1 more roll which never came. He came to the table about 30 mins after I ordered 2nd roll and asked if we were waiting for food, I said yes, he said he would go check, another 20 mins passed he came back and asked if I was still waiting for it, told him yes, I no longer want it, I want the check so we can leave. He came back with the check and magically the second roll I ordered nearly an hour prior at this point, to which I refused. My daughter asked for water 2 times after finishing her Thai tea, we never got that either. Several other tables around us were also audibly complaining they didn’t receive things they ordered. Food runner placed food on wrong table, came back picked it up and put it on another table. To sum it up, 90 dollars for 5 average sushi rolls, aggravation and dissatisfaction. Legend sushi was ran much, much better.
Update 08/23/24: same review above applies, food got worse. We decided to give them another shot, hoping it was just a bad night, ordered a sprite, got water instead, took 20 minutes to get a sprite. Spicy Kani roll was horrid, dry and tasteless. Dragon roll was also gross. All sushi was served not just room temp, (even the ones traditionally served cold ie: Spicy Kani & paint lady roll) but WARM. Extremely off putting. We will truly never go back. If you think this sushi is even remotely “good”, you’ve never...
Read moreHubs and I really enjoyed our little date here. Tho the place is big inside it was cozy and quiet. They spaced dinners out a little during a non busy time and we were able to enjoy a conversation over our beautiful and yummy meal.
If you can eat a lot of sushi, this place is for you. They have an amazing deal on all you can eat. We opted out as we cant eat that much and didn't want to pay $30 per person but we ended up still with a $60+ bill for 3 sushi (2 off the non specialty menu), a sashimi, a house salad and a special drink. So maybe we should have just gotten the deal??
Sushi was beautifully presented. I noticed those who had the all u can eat didn't get all the fancy decorations we did. It tasted beautiful (not the best we've ever had flavor combo/balance wise, but honestly no complaints at all, we are just sushi snobs and have been a lot of places all over the country). The volcano roll was our favorite of the 3 we got. Staff was super friendly and took good care of us.
Overall, we had a really lovely time and didn't feel like we wanted to get out of there because it was too loud or busy or we were...
