After being married for 8 years this was the day that my husband said let's go have breakfast and go shopping.... I was so excited and a breakfast I didn't have to cook win win....that is until I began the journey of trying to enjoy our breakfast. I went in to get the order and a young man was attempting to allow me to settle the bill. He had no idea what he was doing it was obvious. As the supervisor gradually becoming louder and louder calling his name to allow someone who could handle the transaction to take over he blatantly ignored the supervisor. Since we would be eating this meal that we both were so looking forward to at the park I asked the incompetent employee upon arrival, as well as asked over the phone, for them to please be sure to have plates napkins utinsils sugar 2 creamers and both grape and strawberry jelly. After finally the supervisor was able to get the attention of the incompetent employee to make this young man try and clean up this situation that neither of us wanted to be in anymore , I felt so sorry for this young man as we both were trying so hard to just get everything finalized and be on about a hopefully much more pleasant day Mr incompetent still attempting to answer my questions clearly not directed at him. He assured us everything I had ordered was complete and in the bag as he walked from the grill and began to tie the handles of my togo bags closed. Wow..I take my order and leave . As we unpack our meal and try to salvage the rest of our day it was obvious there would be no salvaging after this mess.....he had my eggs I had his both of us had waffles 1 syrup 3 1/2 pieces of toast for one order and only grape and berry jelly I don't like either played there were none and utinsils yes only one fork one butter knife and 2 napkins. After 8 years he finally asks for breakfast in the park and one jerk who refused to listen to the supervisor ruins it..... thanks so much Mr I think I am God's gift to waffle house for ruining that for me not to mention how much I enjoyed eating rubber eggs cold bacon syrupless waffles and cold grits as I refused my husband's insistence for me to be able to eat first with...
Read moreOur server was so sweet. She was pregnant and she just glowed! We talked about her upcoming 3rd son and how she and her husband met in middle school. She kept us served and made us fresh coffee. We were in there at midnight. Not our usual hours. My mom and I had taken my step dad to the ER and he'd been admitted. We were headed home and we were staving. We wanted coffee, but wanted half and half caffeine. She made us fresh decaf! The food however, wasn't very good! I got the super something special LOL the eggs were cooked fine the hash browns tasted like hash browns, however, the bacon was horrible and the wheat toast was just brown white bread that was the cheapest bread you could buy. It tasted awful. it had been in a toaster for a few minutes and gotten hot enough to melt some butter and then set aside while everything else was cooked. It was cold you could tell it had been toasted but it didn't feel or taste toasted. If you put jelly on it you could kind of get tricked into thinking it was toast. The waffle was good, good enough. It was average food and bad food. So if it wasn't for the waitress there's no way I would have given three stars. I wish I would remember her name because Springdale Waffle House, she deserves the raise! Tuesday night August the 28th, she worked until 2am on the 29. I'm sure you don't have very many pregnant women who work that shift LOL give her some praise...
Read moreWent to the wafflehouse to meet some friends. Went ahead and ordered some food because I hadn't eaten all day. Was saving my grits for last because they're my favorite. The waiter ended up telling me a weird story about how he was depressed and trying not to unalive himself. Then he took my food while I was still eating because they had a group of ten coming in who wanted to sit at my booth for four. All I had left where my grits, my favorite. I wanted to finish them. Couldnt even stop the guy before he took my stuff as he piled trash and another plate onto my grits at my table before I knew what was happening. (Thought he was just clearing the dirty stuff). I arrived in the parking lot at 10:55 and he took my food around 11:29. (I was there for around 30 minutes. Had my food around 10 or 15 minutes). I know the times because I was texting my friends when I got there so they could meet me. They were almost at the wafflehouse but I told them not to bother because they wanted us gone. I regret tipping him 20% but always feel obligated to. Its morning now as I'm writing this and I'm still upset about my grits. Just go to Dennys instead. They get mad when you order a milkshake but they at least let you...
