UPDATED REVIEW: This is my second stay and I'm truthfully doubtful I'll return. I don't feel like it was worth the anticipation I had because my last stay was incredible. Unfortunately I was very unsatisfied and unfulfilled after my second visit here because the main reason we came was to enjoy the hot tub and large showers. The last room had a very clean and enjoyable tub. Maybe save your money if you're expecting a clean room every single time you book here. I'm questioning if the cleaning people are being paid a starvation wage now and what morals this business holds honestly because it was so dirty. I didn't need everything to be perfect to enjoy myself but I really feel as though a grimy tub and shower should be considered unacceptable to any business that chooses to maintain hot tubs when it's common knowledge what happens in these tubs and showers. This used to be an hourly hotel if that helps narrow it down for anyone reading reviews about the tubs, showers and general vibe specifically. I'm not sure who was on shift when the room was "cleaned" but whoever did it was either a new worker, unmotivated or was having a terrible day. All three of which I've been before and understand the struggles of. However the cleanliness of the places I bathe and shower are too important to me to not take seriously. Shower had maybe spray tan or some kind of orangish brown grime in it and there was something pink in the drain. Not sure what it was. The jets were probably half as powerful as the ones in the last tub. I could've enjoyed my stay regardless and dealt with the weak jets if that was my main issue. I would've rated higher if the room we had was actually clean. Brown and yellow scum or bubbles started coming out of the PVC jets. I'm not sure what it was I just know it was gross. The last room had fully metal jets in the tub. I was so embarrassed that I was in a filthy tub like that in the first place to call the front desk and say anything. Personally I feel like a grimy room can be easily prevented by adequately paying the staff and making sure they're all happy to be working here because people are human before they are workers.

OLD REVIEW WAS 4 STARS: Had a really wonderful stay here. Jacuzzi was very clean. The stainless steel jets were very powerful in the hot tub. The decor was a bit dated but it was to be expected and it certainly didn't ruin our stay. The hot water didn't really work too well on one of the showerheads and my room key stopped working at 10:30 as I was finishing packing up but someone thankfully helped us get back inside to finish getting our things. I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pretty good experience overall, but there were a few things that kept it from being a full 4-star stay.

The hotel is very "romantic" in its atmosphere. From the moment you check in, you're greeted with a novelty-sized bottle of wine, which I thought was a nice touch. It really set the tone for a cozy, intimate getaway. The lobby offers some cute little extras, like silk roses and stuffed teddy bears for purchase, which is a sweet gesture for couples looking to surprise their significant other.

The room itself was decent and clean for the most part, but there were some noticeable areas that seemed neglected. The mirrors especially seemed like they hadn't been properly cleaned. It wasn’t a deal-breaker, but it did make me question the attention to detail. Also, the interior could use an update. It feels like it’s stuck in the past, and it wouldn’t take much to elevate the vibe and make it feel more modern.

One unique thing that caught me off guard was the TV. When I turned it on, I was greeted with free porn! Jackpot! Not sure if this was intentional or just a quirky touch, but it definitely added a little unexpected fun to the stay! Wink wink...

The hotel while a lil cheesy didn't seem sleazy or have any sketchy happenings

The staff is friendly and even brings fresh towels daily.

Overall, it’s a solid 3-star experience with potential for a 4-star upgrade if they refreshed the rooms. Great for couples looking for a "romantic" and fun retreat, but a little attention to detail would go a long way. New carpets and chairs, lighting, and the dimmer switch could work.

Sidenote....these are things I look for:

I read a lot of mixed reviews about this place but here are my honest thoughts about our stay. We booked our room for the night of April 13, 2024. We really enjoyed our stay and I can't wait to come back! The pool suite is calling my name 😂 . The bed was comfortable, the room was warm (the heat works great!!), the staff was friendly, and best of all ... IT WAS CLEAN!! I always bring cleaning supplies when I stay at a hotel and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room and the hot tub were. I used bleach and a white rag to clean the hot tub before we got in and the rag was still spotless when I was done cleaning the tub. I was very happy and very comfortable staying here. The water stayed hot the entire time we used it. The bathroom was large and the shower was nice. We could only get hot water and water pressure out of one of the shower heads at a time but I didn't go there because they had 2 shower heads anyway so that was fine with us. The fireplace was beautiful and a nice romantic touch! Once we checked in we were given a bottle of sparkling wine, (there were champagne flutes on the table in our room) and were given a free duralog for the fireplace. We were also able to purchase a second duralog for later use. I should note that they only allow you to take one log at a time to your room. Once the first one burns out you can go get another if you purchased it. Overall, I truly enjoyed the time I spent here with my husband. We made margaritas, soaked in the candle lit Jacuzzi, and enjoyed some rare, kid free time together. We even went hiking nearby before heading back home to reality. I had a lovely time and I absolutely would and will be back ... Hopefully in the pool suite...
