All food delivery drivers BEWARE of this Motel. ||||Horrible motel. Food delivery driver attempted delivery to rm 119 at 502pm. Ph# on order was front desk. Rooms aren't GPS friendly. Desk clerk answered call. Requested directions to rm 119. She said it was upstairs and to come to office bc she was takn care of customers. Driver enters office, even holds door for disabled lady with dog. 4 customers waiting. Desk clerk lady said get in line but did call the room, no answer. After 10min, driver asks again where 119 was. Clerk said it was upstairs & can't get in needed a key card she has customers & cannot leave desk. 5 more customers now enter the office. Clerk said for them to go in front of driver. ||||The front desk has security cameras.|||| Driver sees time, and cannot wait, driver steps outside to call store. Other driver takes call said room is at end not on 2nd floor. Driver found rm. Customer, an elderly man, driver apologies for being late, explained ph# given was front desk, as GPS led driver behind bldg & numbers aren't direction friendly. Customer questioned cash due bill being 7$ more than what he calculated. Driver takes menu from car, adds up order. It's correct. Motel is using old menus. ||||Drivers car has audio & video surveillance car cam. ||||3.5hrs post delivery. Mgr calls store, makes allegation that driver threatened desk clerk, to slap the sht out of her. Said no more business allowed there.||||This never happened. And there's PROOF.||||Desk clerk LIED. Not only was call & office interaction on both their security cameras but on the drivers. ||||**When would this alleged "threat" have taken place? In the office the exchange would've been on camera & in front of witnesses, which would've created a hostile environment, driver probably would've been thrown out, & perhaps LE might've been involved. Security cameras do not lie. ||||Clerk said 119 was on 2nd floor & need a card key to get up there. Rm 119 was on the 1st floor near end of same bldg. She is supposed to know where the rooms are. ||||To make driver wait, approx 10min a customer, which would've been well over 30minutes for "wrong" room directions is obtuse. To make false allegstions against the driver is beyond unprofessional. It's absolutely uncalled for and in court would be defined as 'perjury', which is a crime.||||'Why' would the clerk bare false allegations against this driver? The only thing that comes to mind is, the driver didn't "wait" and found the room on his own. This may have ticked the clerk off? ||||This is NOT good business. All delivery drivers should invest 30$ on a 3 way car cam with audio. This...

Unpleasant, unsmiling clerk checked us in. Vague directions to our room. Rode around facility a couple times before we found it in the far rear. Parking lot on the dark side. No security feature on outside door, anyone can walk in at any time. Stairway up to the 2nd floor - filthy. We smelled the garbage before we saw the overflowing can at the top of the stairs (which we reported and they emptied). Room small but neat. No fridge or microwave. No pool. Suffocating odor of super bleach or other heavy duty cleaning solution prevailed (took a day to dissipate). TV worked but remote was grubby, as were all the surfaces of the small desk and wall shelf. Clock's time was off a couple hours but was dirty so we didn't touch it. Burned out lightbulb on wall light (reported and fixed). They knew 2 people were booked ahead of time, but towels, shampoo, soap for only 1 person. Checked sheets - rumpled and found hairs (both beds) and what looked like stains. It was nearly midnight so slept fully clothed on top of bed rather than go out in the dark around to the front desk. Left card on pillow to change sheets. They made bed, but sheets were same ones with hairs (got clean sheets from unpleasant desk clerk). Ice bucket - filthy. Shower - plenty of hot water, but bring flip flops. Tub, commode, sink not cleaned well. Towel bar fell off wall. No hairdryer. Bring your own. Air conditioner very noisy and difficult to regulate - clunked all night and kept us awake. Neighbors also a bit noisy. You get what you pay for - we were looking for cheap so we could explore Harrisburg, Hershey and Amish country. Stayed 3 nights, spent little time in room. It served the purpose. Check out was equally unpleasant. Where is the customer service? All in all, we had a wonderful trip and will certainly visit Harrisburg again, but stay at...

Short version: Keep looking.

Long version: Despite reasonably comfy beds, appealing photos, and a responsive management team who as you can see will reply with at least the boilerplate “I’m sorry your stay didn’t meet expectations, etc.”… they can’t change the fact that…

This is an older hotel with extremely poor structural insulation. You will hear everything above, beside, behind you, and coming down the street. Your earplugs will not be enough. Not even from the sawing of crickets through the window.

The people who rent here apparently do not sleep, ever. Some will sit outside your door arguing on their phones for hours and you will hear every word they say. Others will be watching TV shows, opening and shutting doors, cars starting and stopping, etc. All. Night. Long. You will enjoy interrupted naps of 30 minutes to an hour, at best. Which is why you are reading my 4am hotel review right now.

The fixtures are dated and have not been adequately serviced. Droning/vibrating HVAC units, rattly overhead bathroom fans, chattering mini-fridge compressors, and of course all of your neighbors’ equipment will further contribute to the issues above.

Management is doing what they can to provide a decent experience, but unfortunately considering the circumstances it isn’t a battle they can currently win. Not without without making some serious improvements to the property.

Ultimately, unless you are very lucky, staying here will cost you a night of rest. Since the price isn’t especially competitive… there isn’t much of a reason to be here unless it is your only remaining option.

I’ve had good experiences at Red Roof Inns, but this time it didn’t work out. Heading back to sleep for another 30 minute nap…...

It is rare to give 5 stars for a hotel because over time you can always find a blemish. Why 5 stars here? They are a Fido Friendly establishment. There are conveniently located dog waste stations and plenty of space for a Fido exercise walk. We found the rooms sufficiently insulated for noise reduction from automobiles and next door neighbors. The two rooms we occupied were well maintained, clean and odor free. For the price the amenities such as safe, refrigerator, microwave, drink station, business desk, and ironing board and iron were an unexpected delight. I only expect these in much higher priced hotels. ADA parking is plentiful. You will find that any room on the first floor will allow ADA access from the adjoining non handicap parking space. Nice, for a dilapidated handicap individual like me. If you are towing a trailer, there is safe and convenient street parking. If you drive a truck, there is ample parking on the street. See the photographs. Many patrons have commented on the friendliness and accommodating nature of staff. We found this to be the case. Safety! The area is safe. Management makes security a high priority. There is security surveillance on the hotel perimeter. Yes, 5 stars is rare for a hotel. Given all the pluses at the Red Roof Harrisburg North hotel, I believe five stars is warranted.

The guy who checked us in wasn’t very affluent with the English language so that was tough, we got to our room and it seemed clean enough but there was a strong cleaning odor. We found out this morning that the sheets had been flipped over to hide a large stain on the comforters. Both towel racks kept falling off the walls and one almost nailed my wife’s foot. There’s also a claim about these big TVs but I couldn’t find one, we got a basic 40” tv which to me is small especially if you got poor eyesight. A 50” is big.. the rooms and bathroom is very very close quarters don’t expect to have much room, me and my wife kept running into each other. If you’re taller than 6ft watch your knee caps in the bathroom. This place wouldn’t be bad with a good handyman on site and new desk staff or at least train the ones there..

the room we payed for was disgustingly dirty we asked to have sheets changed multiple times because of how dirty they were. the staff was rude dismissive and unhelpful. we left to go to a concert came back and no one cleaned anything and finally we got “help” but it was not helpful we needed new bedding over all because of how dirty it was and they said oh laundry is closed so we left the same night told them how disgusting it is and the just brushed it off. and i contacted through expedia to get a refund since we did not stay and the inn denied it which is insane considering we did not stay in the hotel to sleep or longer than an hour before the concert the whole place was just disgusting staff and vicinity oh and it’s not smoke free it smells like cigarettes and weed every where.
