1st visit - Handicapped access and walkway to front door not very safe for those using a cane or walker. Challenging, uneven, undulating, sloped. We were welcomed, and a host helped with the door for myself and my 82-year-old mom w/ a rollator. We were greeted again and seated quickly. It was busy and a little loud, but nothing out of the ordinary. It was about 5 pm on a Thursday Bright colors outside are welcoming, but I'm a little confused about the decor inside. It looked like an asian garden, not Central America/Mexico. If a couple bonsai were in place of a few paintings (which are beautiful but oddly out of place), it could have been a asian fusion restaurant. Neat, tidy, clean. Chips and salsa were provided. Room temp chips (not warm). Very mild salsa, fresh tasting, and mexi-ranch dip included. I tried the ranch but didn't care for it. I asked for a hotter salsa. They had a homemade habanero chili sauce. Very tasty. I mixed it into the salsa to pep it up. Nice option to have if you need some heat. A little wait for our waitress but not bad considering the time of day. 3-5 min. Drinks and chips were on table in about 6 or 7 min. Menu was well organized, plantains, cevichè were a welcome sight and confirmed my deduction that all latin americas are reperesented. Tableside guac cart upon request! Food Quality and taste - American/PA standard Mexican take with a few specific regional fare. I ordered the carne asada steak w/ rice and beans and corn instead of flour tortilas. Horchata to drink. Mom ordered chicken and shrimp fried rice. About 20 min after our order was taken, our food arrived. So in total about 30 from parking lot to start eating. My carne was medium and very tender although a bit salty. Nice couple of green onions roasted on top. Beans were canned. Rice was basic, good. Mom was hoping to get more than 3 pieces of shrimp for $8 bucks extra on her dish. The plates were HUGE. Square, stylish, modern. Waitress timing was off. Came and checked on us early, which was nice, but it didn't come back until a bit after we were finished. About an hour, we paid at the table and headed out. Mom took 1/2 of hers home and ate it the next day. Overall, it was a nice meal for 2 adults for about $50. I'll try a couple of other things on the menu next visit. Staff was...
Read moreIt was a nice place but it definitely did not hold up to franchise standards by far, the waitress was nice but you can definitely tell she wasn't into it...and mind you I came in to bring in my spouse for fathers day after waitressing myself all day...using my own tip money that I worked hard for from being attentive to others all day...again I was not impressed from one restaurant worker to another. Language barrier was not an excuse as I spoke to her in Spanish, I'm fluent and she just seemed she didn't care, drink refills, napkins, checking if everything is okay, Not to mention its not holding up to the standards of the other locations when it comes to the food..they served chips but not the white sauce with the salsa that the other locations served. My drink you tasted no alcohol. My spouse meal he got the shrimp and fried rice, it was so little I had more food on my plate then him and my plate cost less, he maybe a cup of rice on the plate with 6 shrimp, it served as Childs plate, he left hungry and it was his day. My plate wasn't made correctly didn't have the cheese dip that was supposed to be on it I had the burrito el pastor...it also had this chipotle stuff on it that was never it on before or listed on the menu...Wasn't asked if we were interested in dessert just gave us our check..again money being taken from your revenues that night...I asked for the manger they never came i was going to looking but my spouse insisted we leave...so I let it go. I'm sorry I could made better at home for less money...and will not be coming back , we will be going to York. I understand its busy and its fathers day...but I felt it could of been better and most things I try to overlook because I'm right there with you in the same boat at...
Read moreWe first came it to friendly hostesses, and requested to sit outside. We ordered drinks, and they came quickly, but our waitress spilled the drinks all over, leaving me sticky. But help was offered immediately, giving us napkins and a refund on drinks. We decided to move inside and ordered our food. The first thing I’d like to point out is how AMAZING their salsa is, the perfect amount of spice. I ordered the pollo tacos (chicken, tomato and cheese), and I was a bit disappointed ☹️. The corn soft tortillas were so weak I couldn’t eat like a taco, so I used a fork. But the chicken tasted a bit strange, I don’t know how it’s marinated, but maybe it should be changed, it was bland and not very enjoyable. The tacos also came with Spanish rice and beans. Which were exceptionally delicious!!!! I don’t know why I enjoyed the beans and rice so much, or what makes it so good, but I don’t care, please keep it up!!! It’s so good! I am sure other dishes are much better, and I’d like to try the nachos next time! Aside from the food, the indoor decor is stunning, with flowers hanging from the ceiling and just an overall great environment. The waitstaff is so pleasant and the managers are very involved, going around asking how food is. Overall, I enjoyed myself, there were some bumps but overall a great establishment. I will be coming back and trying the nachos, they look delicious! Thank you for a...
