Today, while holiday shopping, my mom and I had such a wonderful experience at this shop, we couldnât help but write a review. The gentleman who checked us out was the embodiment of Holiday Cheer. He told us he had recently moved here from Baltimore, we didnât get his name but he was so lovely that after checking out we stayed a little while longer looking for a gift we had intended to purchase elsewhere. Karen was very helpful and informative, but Matt approached us at the door and asked us if we found everything we were looking for. My mom said âactually weâre looking for a Wok, I canât seem to find one!â and In a second he found exactly what we were looking for, with better quality and price!! We were thankful Matt intercepted us because we really didnât want to revisit the other shop for our kitchen related gift because we didnât have as lovely of a time to receive as exceptional of service as we did at this William Sonoma. For having a busy shop all of the associates seemed to be buzzing around visiting and checking on their clients, we found this exceptional for this time of year and for retail in general where sometimes customer service is lacking.    Read moreI had a question today about whether their spatulas were made of silicone. They certainly looked like it, but given all the talk about toxic plastics, I wanted to be certain. It was not marked on them, only that they have a steel core. The older woman waiting on me clearly did not believe me, and took quite a bit of time to scrutinize the labels. With a haughty expression, she did deign to go online to find out for me. Excellent! I could purchase these over-priced silicone spatulas. I first asked, though, if they carried the Gir spatulas. My foodie chef sons all pronounce it as âgearâ, although we all know it means Get It Right. She became more sour and truly began to act as if she were married to a belted earl. She told me that it is not âgearâ, but Get it Right, and âNo, Williams Sonoma does not carry Get it Right implements.â Okay, okay. To make matters worse, their Apple Pay requires a password, which I never encounter. This brought a new round of supercilious pedagogy, as she informed me that Williams Sonomaâs card readers require one, and then she asked me if I know my password. Oh boy.    Read moreTerrible customer service. I placed an order online for store pickup. I called to inquire about the status of my order and was talked down to and hung up on. I contacted customer service via email and had no reply. I called the store several more times and was spoken to very disrespectful each time. I finally spoke with a very nice lady by calling customer service and she was shocked to hear how poorly I had been treated by the Harrisburg employees. She did credit my order 20% for all my hassles. She was able to sort my order out and let me know it was ready for pick up. However, I still received poor service once I got to the store. The cashier was frustrated to have to find my order. You canât expect to be in business long by mistreatment of customers. Especially with your prices. I expected better from you guys.
