Despite whatever good about this place, I wish I could give 0 stars. These people (at minimum, management) are cruel and despicable with their behavior. I reserved a room for a good friend of mine and her son (who is a minor) because they were down on their luck and lost nearly all they had. Context:

The friend (who we'll call "F") was reluctant to ask for help despite being out of a home and having her car stolen. F had been out in the extreme heat for days, trying to keep her son and herself alive, before she contacted me for help.

I reserved a room here and pre-paid (I authorized my card to be charged at the time of booking), taking care to note that I was booking not for myself, but a woman and her child. Everything went through fine, I got the confirmation and they were all setup to go check in.

They walked a few miles to get there and are led to the booked room where they can finally relax a little. Well, a little is all they got-- they had enough time to lay on a fresh bed for a few minutes, but before either one could think about showering, management came to their door, demanding F to furnish the card used for the booking, which of course, she did not have since it was not her card and I'm not there.

By the way, this "policy" they were fabricating is no where to be found on their website. They only talk about their right to pre-authorize-- nothing that says you must show them the card used for the reservation. F and her son, being out in the summer weather of 103+ degrees for a few days, didn't look their best. F's boy is also of mixed ethnicity, which leads me to question what looks like prejudice towards the two of them: Had they both been Caucasian and recently showered or well-dressed, management wouldn't have batted an eye about the veracity of the reservation made for them.

I should point out that this demand for the CC occurred AFTER they had already been checked in and given a key to the room and AFTER they were already in the room. If this was anything other than blatant prejudice or extreme incompetence, the staff/management should have demanded the card then and there, at the time of check-in... Not 10 or 15 minutes later, AFTER either the staff had time to run and inform management of the suspected miscreants they just checked in, (or for management to catch wind of the condition of the two would-be guests their staff let in), AFTER someone got the nerve to fabricate a BS policy, BUT somewhere in between management covering for its cowardice and inability to admit how they were being overtly harsh and inhospitable towards these two people that they were about to banish.

They don't see a loving mother and her boy in need of help, trying to survive out there in the harsh environment; they see two dirty, undeserving misfits whom they need to kick out, which they promptly did when F couldn't produce my credit card.

They sent my friend and her SON back out into the hottest part of the day (103+ air temp, with ground temperatures in excess of 160 Fahrenheit, UV index extreme) to DIE for all they cared, without even trying to contact me ONCE! I received ZERO contact from this place at any point between the time I made my reservation to now (this was yesterday).

I must reiterate that this policy is nowhere to be found on their website. I can't believe that anyone could be so cruel and sadistic towards a mother and her son who are having a rough time on top of dealing with these heat stroke-inducing temperatures. For once, shameless ignorance has triumphed over greed.

Hopefully, you will understand why I wish to give 0 stars-- better yet, negative stars.

Hopefully, you will read this in its entirety and choose not to support acts committed with such contempt and disregard of another human being.

Hopefully, this place runs out of business and cannot cause anyone else such pain and distress. I will be reporting this to the BBB, who can actually do something about this place.

Reply to Owner: You should apologize and pray for forgiveness, not "thanks" me. You must be lacking in...

I'm only giving this motel a 4 out of 5 star rating because of the trouble we had with the people at the front desk.

My girlfriend lives out of town, and we really wanted to see each other. She drove four and a half hours to Taylor, and wanted to go rest. Taylor Village Inn and Suites looked like a nice place, was remodeled, is on Main street, and compared to some of the other places, looked like a safe place to stay.

We went in together, having never been here before, and finally a man walked out in some slacks and a muscle shirt, not looking too professional. He had a thick accent, and it was a challenge to understand him, and to explain what we were looking for. My girlfriend asked for a room for two nights with one bed, he asked us again just to "double check," it came out to $61 and some change. We have never been here and were thinking that $61 for TWO nights was awesome!

The rooms were gorgeous, the design was beautiful, there was a working heater/AC that kept us feeling just right, and everything was clean and perfect. The two of us were very comfortable.

Why 4 stars though? The next day, we went out and had a nice breakfast, had fun, and she received a call from the motel. They were cleaning rooms and said we had "too much stuff for just one night." We went back to the motel, went to the front, and out comes a woman, and her accent and understanding of the English/American language was worse than the man's. She said that we only paid for one night, and I told her the man told us differently, and said the $61 covered two nights. She shrugged and said "One more night, yes?" So we paid for an extra night.

The place was really comfortable and cozy, and we enjoyed looking out the window at night at the lights. The only issue we had was the one with the lack of understanding between both parties due to communication issues. We're on the fence about coming back, but I have a feeling we might the next time she is in town, and we'll be better prepared. If you can get past the service desk and their accents and language problems, I think this is a place I...

They're so nice and the rooms are very clean. They're small, but there's a king bed, nightstand, dresser, tv, microwave, mini fridge, table, an office chair and a smaller table chair, hair dryer, small coffee pot, brand new bathroom updates. The bed isn't the softest, the blankets are a little uncomfortable, but I can tolerate it. The pool is in a gated area where there's a BBQ grill anyone can use. I swam on day 1 and it was great, but after the rains day 2 it could use some cleaning. My boyfriend was grilling his chicken for meal prep the next few days and we were looking at the pool. Some idiot dropped a comdom (unused thankfully) in the pool and there was just a bit of dirt on the bottom. Nothing a quick vacuum wouldn't fix. Seriously though, these people are absolutely the sweetest most awesome hotel owners I've ever encountered. Being that my late husband and now current man were /are pipeliners we've done some serious traveling and seen some bad places. But I would definitely recommend people staying here, especially if you want to feel safe - his surveillance system is top notch!!! The parking lot is small so you can usually park right by the room. There's only 2 floors so that helps. It's quite cozy and I noticed the police even drive through the lot in the evenings. It's been a really quiet stay. You barely hear the guys trucks leaving in the mornings. Unless you are super picky or prissy about the hotel you stay at, this one is pretty good! Not to mention it's not terrible on the...
