As I layed awake on the very tiny bed, thinking it must be a double sized instead of a queen, I imagined what I would say about this place. When I pulled the top sheet down - as there wasn't a blanket or coverlet or bedspread - there was human (presumably) hair on my sheets. It looked like hairs from a mans chest, or belly. I didn't see any residue from sweat or other body fluids, or I wouldn't have stayed. The towels were clean, just very few, even for just 2 of us. The potential to be neat was there, the place was very old, perhaps more than 100 years. The bed felt almost that old. It was very loud, very creaky, and much too small for 2 people. The curtains on the windows were much too light of fabric, the outside light very visible. When the cold water side of the faucet was turned on, no water came out. I didn't wait to see how hot it got. My husband said it was a $50 room, and quality doesn't come that cheap. There was parking, a small walk away, seemed to be safe. When I checked in, although I had reservations done on the computer, there was no evidence of me in the computer. The two men behind the counter seemed to have difficulty understanding me and expressing themselves, English not their...

Read moreFirst off let me say, I'm homeless, not broke (homeless by choice). Secondly, whatever pics you see on whatever website are TOTALLY false advertising in it's entirety... See my pics! I was at Mountain Valley RV Park here in Tehachapi (another to not go) and I got caught in a storm I didn't think was gonna be that bad. Needless to say, I called 911 and got transported to this place. The guy didn't allow my mother to pay over the phone with a credit card (in her name) over the phone, remember this is an emergency WINTER STORM WARNING, so I go in with my mother's debit card she gave me in HER NAME and the police! He gives me a room! Huh? Then proceeds to ask the Officer why he's bringing people like me here! OMG! The audacity! The kind officer, whom handled it well BTW, says hey I'm bringing you business. It shouldn't matter if I look like the "stereotypical" homeless person or not (I don't ). To be valued on the basis of looks and if I can pay or no is ludicrous! Obviously, I can pay or I wouldn't go! Don't stay here. I went to every website associated with the RANCH MOTEL and it's misleading. Look at my pics. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT stay here or Mountain Valley RV Park. You've been warned!...
