Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed with this place before even having a chance to stay. Due to unfortunate circumstances effecting the rest of summer, Our family was trying to book a last minute trip to lake George. We found this location which looked perfect. We have a dog, an extremely docile bread that sleeps most of the day but happens to be over 50lbs, and had seen different explanations of the policy on different sites. My wife called to ask for what exactly the pet policy was and possibly talk to someone about our particular dog. The man she spoke with was extremely rude and unprofessional. When she explained different booking sites had different information and tried to explain situation, she was responded to with extreme attitude and had to ask more than once if they would essentially just explain the pet policy (despite being told to be more specific, which I’m not sure how you can be in that situation without being able to discuss bread etc). The man finally gave the response, which unfortunately did not fit our dog and did not even allow for an opportunity to discuss it. Read moreI grew up in a trailer home and a disheveled historic farm house in Oklahoma, stayed at several campgrounds and sleazy hotels throughout my youth... and I've never felt so disgusted and angry about lodging in my life. This place deserves an absolute zero. The rooms were dark, moldy, and full of broken and missing elements. The trash was overflowing with 3-4 bags when we arrived. The doors weren't mosquito proof and we all ended up with several bug bites the next morning. The interior was rotting faux-wood paneling and early 1970s appliances and paint and surfaces and broken cabinetry. The air conditioner didn't work well and belched a steady stream of mildewy, dank air... and was sitting beneath a broken window. The mattresses and bedding were straight out of a used merchandise store from the early 1980s. Absolutely vile. There's no way any reasonable, sober person could exit this experience feeling anything but ripped off and lied to and humiliated. Caveat emptor, fellow consumers. This place...
