Pros: great view of the lake and mountains, multiple areas with outdoor activities (basketball, cornhole, bocce, playground) and lots of outdoor seating; rooms were spacious and stocked with toiletries, cleaning supplies and full appliances, outdoor deck was roomy and a great place to enjoy the view. My kids said the pullout couch was comfortable. The main bedroom was comfortable as well. The multilevel lodging buildings are handicap accessible with elevators from the parking areas. Cons: noisy (the toilet flushing from a neighboring unit made a racket, we could hear our neighbors in the connecting unit); the curtains are thin and do not block much of the sunrise, which is tough since most of the back walls are windows that the face east. The resort WiFi was spotty and our room WiFi didn’t work at all; we couldn’t connect to any device. Again, not a dealbreaker for most vacationers but my family has a diabetic who manages it through his cell phone and it helps to have stable WiFi. The biggest oddity was the front desk service. Anytime we interacted with the desk it seemed like it was an inconvenience to the staff. They were never rude but didn’t seem like they wanted to help you unless you really needed it or pushed. Bring your own beach towels for the pool and beach. We called the desk to see if they would be put lying some out at the pool but were told they don’t provide towels for the pool. I don’t know this is how hotels in the region operate and we were close enough to town to buy towels but it caught me off guard.

This is a must visit location! You will experience top notch customer service, clean rooms, beautiful decor, breathtaking views, lovely amenities all set in a lodge like setting. This place is amazing! There's plenty to do on site too from a heated pool and hot tub to outdoor games for anyone, a private beach and seating included. You can sun bathe on their patio or sit out on your own private balcony patio with table and chairs overlooking Lake George. It's so cozy and comfortable with a very Adirondack feel. I can't wait to go back! The room we stayed in had everything we could need included. A beautiful bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub, a closet, a lovely kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave and utensils and plates and cups in the cabinets. You literally have everything you need right there. The bed was so comfortable and there's a nice sized TV too. The sliding glass door to your private balcony overlooking the lake and property was spectacular. I really couldn't find hardly anything to downplay except for the curtains on the sliding glass door should be room darkening and they are not but so still offer complete privacy. I would highly recommend this place for any vacation needs.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We're overlooking Lake George. I'm originally from Plattsburgh, New York, and myself, my wife, and her mom from Akron, Ohio, are here visiting my family for a week. The staff is very polite and accommodating. It's a very rustic atmosphere, both inside and outside, which is ideal if you like that Adirondack Mountain feel. The rooms are all spacious and there's plenty of room for clothing. There was a T.V. in each of our two bedrooms, and a larger one in the living room. There's WiFi, and the cell service in that particular area is very good. There's plenty of counter space and cupboard space in the kitchen. We especially like the gas fireplace that is on a 30-minute timer. The beds are all very comfortable, as are the chairs and couch in the living room area. There's plenty of lighting options to make you comfortable. There's Wi-Fi and plenty of channels on the TV. The refrigerator and freezer are very spacious, and our dining room table seats six people. There's a large front deck with a table and 4 chairs that gave us a direct view of the lake. I would highly recommend staying here.

Disclaimer: I'm not an owner nor did I rent, but stayed with family so I don't want to comment on price and if it is worth it. But this is always a great stay! I often have an unobstructed view of the lake, the Lodges have their own beach, which is shared with a resort next door, but plenty of room for everyone. Play ground is great for little ones, along with some grills, corn hole, and horse shoes across the path which allows for a great afternoon or lunch outside. I've been in 4 Lodges and all have impressed. The newest buildings have rec/common rooms that seem great for kids to hang out and make friends. The boat house restaurant is a little pricy but love the atmosphere and views. Also the large boats like the Minnie Ha Ha frequently sail by which is cool. I took one star for some play equipment had some exposed screws that could harm my kid, but didn't... but to be fair the damage that allowed the condition looked very recent and I never reported it, to see how quickly it was addressed. Also just want to list some things I didn't do that seems well worth noting: basketball court, shuffle board court, bacce ball, volley ball, Heated pool with infinity edge, hot tub (nay hot 'pool' or 'grotto' because it's so big) it could easily accommodate 10 people pre-social distancing. I'd give 4.5 if I could because as I type this I remember that then grounds keeping is IMMACULATE and a 4 min drive to the village. My wife and I are strongly looking to become owners in the future so we really enjoyed our stays over the past decade. One last thing, the owners have and are really investing significantly into the property. Over the last decade I've seen many amenities added to the property.

Edit: I came back to the Lodges this October and had the same great experience! And might I add that I went back to the playground with my kids and there was no sign of the screws I saw earlier and the damaged parts were fixed/resecured. This to me just shows how much owners care, and don't let things fall into disrepair. I'm increasing my review from 4 to 5 stars because I honestly have zero complaints...

This place is not at all what they represent it to be on their website. Sure its on a nice piece of property along the lake but the hotel itself is very poorly run. For what they charge for a room (500-1200/night), you would think they would invest a little money in their staff and infrastructure.

After 8pm there is no one that you can get in contact with at the hotel. We arrived shortly after 8pm, found our key outside of the office and let ourselves into the room. The internet and tv did not work. And because of the location, we had no cell service. Our jobs are dependent on being able to access the internet so this was a big problem. We used the phone in the room to leave multiple messages for the hotel but no one got back to us. The hotel claims they have a 24hr line that you can call but they dont give you the number for it. You have to go back to the office in the middle of the night to find it. But its pointless anyway because without cellphone or internet service, we didnt even have a way to call (our room phone would not dial out).

The rooms themselves are pretty cheap. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything outside. There were a lot of people yelling outside during the night, not sure if they were guests or people that were at the restaurant/bar that were just lingering around but it really didnt feel safe and not having any way to make a call really put us on edge.

We had to call multiple more times the next day just to get somone on the phone (they never responded to any of our messages) and they were only worried about covering themselves, never even asked what our issues were. He actually told us that we could "just call 911" if we had any issues (I still cant believe he said that). Twice I asked to speak to a manager and he hung up on me. They force you to put half of the cost of the total stay down as a security deposit so they seemed to only be worried about keeping that.

Please do your research before booking this place, we wish we had! Its...

Beautiful rooms, incredible view. We came at a magical time in the spring when prices are really good but the weather is already warm. Staff was incredibly friendly and responsive, maintenance even came and rescued a bird that flew in 😅. Tons of extra towels and linens under the sinks that I didn't notice until the last day, a good amount of supplies provided in the lodge. No turndown service, no idea why I thought they would in the lodge (I was thinking of it as more of a hotel) so I guess that one was on me. I appreciated the short check in texts and my one issue was swiftly responded to. As to the issue: The #1 reason I choose this spot over a specific similar resort was the cool looking indoor outdoor pool, but the pool was FREEZING the first two days we were there. The kiddie pool had also not been filled yet. I was really disappointed because it was one of the biggest draws of this place. I klwanted to take off more stars because they advertised on the website that the pool was up and running and it kind of ruined our expensive pool centric vacation, but the employees were so nice and responsive that i just couldn't. I happened to get a check in text and mentioned that the pool was unusably, hair raisingly cold in response and it was warm the next morning, but that's when we were leaving and it was 35 degrees that day so cue a sopping freezing slog back to the hotel followed by a very unsatisfactory rinse off to try and make 10 am checkout. Would have appreciated an extra couple of hours at the lodge at least after I brought this up but I'm guessing that's not something the front desk was in their power to offer So I guess staff, view, location...
