This is a great place to stay! As someone who worked in a choice hotel (4 years in the early 2000's) and have tons of customer service experience. My current job is completely different. I travel a lot and stay in lots of hotels. I'd say I'm a fair judge of hotels. First off, the staff and management are great. They're friendly, down to earth, always willing to help and or answer my questions, and very professional. They are very knowledgeable of the hotel and surrounding area. They're very polite and will have conversations with you whenever you want, if they aren't busy. They know and have customer service skill. The location is great. It's very close to Fort Drum (about 5 minutes from the closest gate) and you can get anything you need within a few minutes drive. There's Walmart, fast food, restaurants, gas, and miscellaneous stores all around. It's only 10 to 15 minutes away from Watertown. The hotel is very clean, i see the staff cleaning all public areas everyday. Housekeeping only entered when i wanted them to, and they were fast. I left them to clean the room and they usually came down to the lobby within a couple minutes to tell me my room was finished. Management was awesome, I had a small issue in the room. The maintenance person must have been gone already because, the manager cut a meeting he had short and personally came up and fixed the issue. Management and staff always seemed happy. The management takes care of his people. My experience there is a good testament to how he is as a leader and how employees treated properly go the extra mile to make guests happy and keep them staying. I was only supposed to stay there for 3 weeks, but due to business i had to extend a week. I had permission to move to a hotel with more amenities (like a pool, huge lobby, and really nice gym) but i didn't move because there was nowhere else i would rather be (while there on business anyway, LOL). This is not a hotel with a ton of great amenities. It has the important ones like a laundry room, a small workout room, wifi, complimentary breakfast, etc... But i knew that going in. Now there are things to keep in mind. Before staying here do your research. If you go there expecting a pool, room service, a door porter, or valet, you will be sorely disappointed. Remember it's a Quality Inn (no disrespect to them) not the RITZ, MGM GRAND, or TRUMP PLAZA. Whatever negatives things have been said, pay it no mind, because he/she/they were probably expecting more. Go there, keep reasonable expectations and enjoy your stay. I enjoyed it so much I signed up for the Choice Membership program before I left. My experience there has me thinking I'll probably always try to stay in a Choice Hotel from now when traveling and I only want to stay at this particular Quality Inn whenever I go there on business. If they're fully booked, I'll try to schedule my business in that area when they...

The rooms need to have maintenance done. Mold covered tubs with barely any water pressure. Tub takes an hour to drain. Water was either freezing or HOT. Floors need to be swept and mopped as a daily routine. Our feet turned black just from walking around in the room each day. Beds were stripped and made daily so that was a plus. Only sign of bugs was a large beetle crawling on the floor of our room. The entire hotel needs to be cleaned as you can see from the photos. Repair the defects in the room prior to booking them out again.

Our house keeper was very considerate and kind. I would recommend they keep her for as long as they can. She made sure the floors were taken care when I asked her and she also made our beds the way we asked!

There was one very cheap and flimsy luggage cart available for the entire hotel to use during the 4 day stay we had.

The breakfast was awful. They steam frozen egg & sausage patties and throw them in a warmer. The waffles were just about the only edible item other than the cereal however the milk was empty every morning by about 730. I asked on 2 occasions for them to refill it and they did. Maybe start refilling it sooner so that guests don't need to ask and don't need to wait.

If you are traveling with children I would absolutely not recommend this hotel due to the shower issues, cleanliness, quality of the breakfast & the beds are about 5ft from the ground.

I misunderstood our reservations and they called me to see if I was going to checkout as planned. They allowed me to checkout at 12 instead of 11 which was considerate of them.

I wouldn't waste time with the General manager. He was unprofessional & very uninterested in accommodating myself and another guest when we came across an issue we were both...

I decided on this hotel because I thought it had good reviews and a good price. When I first arrived the gentleman at the counter was very nice. He even took pictures of my son and I for us since I have not seen my son all year due to covid. The next morning there was no breakfast being served so I went to McDonalds to get breakfast and as soon as I walked into my room and turned the light on, I saw a baby roach crawling on the floor! I immediately took a picture and went and talked to the lady up front. I asked her if this hotel has roaches and she stated no and that they spray every day. I then told her that I don't think I can stay there and that I would call other hotels to see if I could get in there. I went back to my room (155) and called another hotel. As I was on the phone with my husband I looked at the stand below the TV and saw a brown spot on the top front edge of the stand and as I walked closer to see if that was a roach it started crawling!!! I took a video of it and quickly packed my things after shaking them to make sure none got into my belongings and went straight to the front desk to demand a refund in which she at first just tried to give me one day. I demanded my whole refund, two days, be given back to me because I was not paying to sleep in filth and having to pack up and find another hotel in a small town. She said she would have to call her manager so I told her to call her Manager then. She picked up her phone acted like she was about to call him then proceeded with the refund. I will not ever stay here again. I would rather pay double up the street then to have bugs crawling everywhere. Very disgusted and...

I stayed for one night at the Fort Drum Quality Inn -- check-in was a breeze and I appreciated getting a free upgrade to a very spacious room with a king-size bed. Choice Hotels, the chain to which Quality Inn-branded hotels belong, all offer complimentary breakfasts and this location had that too. But it was more basic than what I've seen at other Quality Inns and Comfort Inns. They did have yogurt, pre-packaged muffins, apples, cereal, as well as eggs and sausage. But oddly enough, the one pretty standard item that they didn't have was any bread at all and, therefore, no toaster. Just a little peculiar, but not a big deal. Overall, the Fort Drum Quality Inn offered good value for money.

We booked our king suite online and intended on staying, but we ended up driving back home for multiple reasons. The major reason was that we ran out of stuff to do and didn't feel like sitting in this room all day. The room was okay. It was a little bland, and unfortunately, they were having some work done on the outside of the hotel, and our windows were covered in plastic, which made it feel like a jail not being able to see outside. The cleanliness of the room was moderately okay. Most of the trouble area was the bathroom. It's just a little rough in some areas. Overall, it was an okay hotel if you're on a budget and need somewhere to go.
