My parents and I had a wonderful stay while in Cooperstown for my son's baseball tournament. The owners, Fred and Kris, are not only lovely people and we enjoyed getting to know during our 1 week stay...they are gracious hosts who truly went out of their way to ensure we had an amazing visit. A few examples that come to mind include flexible check in/out and breakfast timing to accommodate our crazy, ever changing schedule, provided air compressor for flat tire, freshened and made bed when my parents checked out and I began sleeping in their bed, amazing tips and advice for local places to see/eat, etc.
All 5-6 of the breakfast options they offered were delicious and freshly prepared using fresh (often home grown) ingredients.
The accommodations/rooms are very clean and adequate. We stayed in adjoining rooms #2-3 which worked perfectly for 3 adults. The decor/artwork is very cool and eclectic, a reflection of Fred's artistic background.
The location is great, just on the southern edge of the historic village of Cooperstown...10-15min walking distance to just about everything in Cooperstown. It's about a 15min drive to Dreams Park south of Cooperstown and 30min drive to All Star Village in Oneonta.
Thank you Fred and Kris! We may be back in 5-6 year with our...
Read moreFred was absolutely wonderful. Super attentive and accommodating. He provides absolutely everything you would need during your stay. We stayed in the bigger room that connects 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. The rooms are updated and clean and bright with a strong AC and ceiling fan in each bedroom. The bathroom was completely new and fairly roomy. He not only provided the normal shampoo/conditioner/soap but there was also several hand sanitizers around the room and tons of towels. The breakfast in the morning is spectacular. Fresh eggs from his chickens out back, homemade waffles/French toast, delicious breakfast meat, homemade biscuits and breads, etc…, coffee, tea (non-dairy creamer… a real plus for me). Beautiful upstairs porch with table and chairs to sit on, as well as, the farmers porch out front with tables and chairs and rocking chairs. Great location. Can walk downtown....
Read moreWe stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast for five nights in September, 2024. We really enjoyed our stay! The hosts paid attention to every detail. The beds were comfortable, we had ample towels (nice big fluffy towels!) and we wanted for nothing.
The breakfast was nothing short of amazing! Fresh eggs, homemade sausage, jams, waffles, french toast -- all served hot and ready to enjoy. Absolutely delicious.
The hosts, Fred and Kris, were always available for questions and suggestions of other places to visit besides the wonderful Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
If I ever make it back to Cooperstown, I know where I will stay. Thank you for making this trip...
