There is love, kindness and baseball here! It is not possible to be more American and more of the best of humanity than that!
Welcoming, caring and wonderful people work here and do make it feel like home.
Every inch of this place lives and breathes history. Accommodations and food top-rate! Signatures on the staircase wall from Hall of Famers like the always-classy Eddie Murray and the departed and much-missed Phil Niekro.
Breakfast was phenomenal! Service was impeccable! Rooms were comfy and had an aura of home.
Baseball books and tomes about a galaxy of subjects on every shelf! That the folks who run the White House Inn are book lovers only makes it better!
Read them! Don't ban them! Amy Madigan in "Field of Dreams" should have told ya that! Ha!
If you stay here, you will only thank yourself many times over! Staying at the White House Inn made the visit to the National Baseball Hall of Fame & Museum that much better!
It is in easy walking distance.
Just fun and kind. The sign over the fireplace mantle says it all: "And in the end, it's not the years in a life. It's the life...

Now we know to call before we go to make sure we can get to our room...
Read moreWe absolutely loved the White Inn!||This was our first trip to Cooperstown, and we chose this bed and breakfast mainly because of the pool and the close proximity to the Base Ball Hall of Fame. It turned out to be a delightful place to stay. I appreciated the 8:30 breakfast time, as I enjoy being lazy in the mornings; it motivated me to get dressed early, allowing us to start our day sooner. It is a short walk to the Baseball Hall of Fame. ||The B&B was very nice, and the other guests at the breakfast table were quite chatty. During our meal, we gathered a lot of valuable information from them.|The inn was clean, neat, and inviting. The air conditioning worked well, and the breakfast and coffee were enjoyable. The staff was wonderful. I truly don’t have any complaints. ||We look forward to...
