Grab your cup of coffee. My review of the Landmark Inn isn’t the shortest, but that’s because I have so much raving to do about my recent stay.
If you’re considering making a reservation at the Landmark Inn, my advice is to book your room pronto before someone else snags it. If that person is a returning guest, i.e., someone who has already experienced how special and wonderful the Landmark Inn is — beauty and comfort literally everywhere you look, spectacular and unique guest rooms, a phenomenal breakfast, and exceptionally attentive staff – you won’t otherwise stand a chance of booking that room first.
I have stayed at a number of really lovely inns over the years. The Landmark Inn has surpassed every one of them on multiple fronts. In addition to all of the aforementioned beauty and comfort the inn itself offers, several really wonderful restaurants are only a few, extremely walkable blocks away. And, the Baseball Hall of Fame is a quick drive away, as are Cooperstown’s many other offerings, for both the active and inactive.
And, as an added (big!) bonus — if you will be accompanied by a dog, as I was, the Landmark Inn is pet-friendly; in fact, I believe it has the distinction of being the only inn in the area that is. Even better, the inn’s “Henry’s Hideaway” room has private, direct access not only to the backyard, but it also has its own deck and chairs right outside your door. The perfect place for some wine, with your canine companion by your side. Look for Henry’s Hideaway to be stocked with everything your dog could want, plus a few special extras. I won’t spoil the surprise of telling you what those are. 😊 And, if you’re someone who isn’t a fan of dogs, fear not. There’s a reason why this room has “hideaway” as part of its name, as per my above description.
Last — but certainly not least – not only does the Landmark Inn offer every single thing you could possibly hope for when staying at an inn, but the Landmark is extra special in that it very obviously is a labor of love. Owners John and Keith have gone way, way beyond.
I’d say I hope you enjoy your stay, except there isn't a single chance you won’t. I certainly will be back. Thank you so much, John and Keith. You truly have...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming Landmark Inn in the heart of Cooperstown, NY, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I was in for a treat.
Let me start by highlighting the inn's commitment to being pet-friendly. As a dog owner, finding accommodations that welcome furry friends can be a challenge, but this inn has a room dedicated to our four-legged companions. It was such a relief to have a comfortable and stylish space where my beloved pooch could relax and feel right at home. The room was impeccably clean, well-appointed, and had direct access to a beautiful outdoor area, perfect for morning walks or playtime.
One of the things that truly impressed me about Landmark Inn was their eye for design details. Every corner of the property was thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. From the charming artwork on the walls to the carefully chosen furniture, it was evident that the owners had put a lot of love and care into creating a unique and memorable experience for their guests. The attention to detail added a touch of elegance to the overall ambiance, making my stay even more delightful.
The staff at Landmark Inn deserves special recognition for their exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, providing me with information about local attractions and recommendations for dining options. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had everything I needed during my stay. Their friendly and attentive nature made me feel like a valued guest, and their dedication to ensuring a memorable experience truly stood out.
Speaking of experience, my stay at this inn was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of the cozy room, the picturesque surroundings, and the overall tranquility made for a truly unforgettable getaway.
