Mixed feelings here. While I commend them for renovating after the damaging flood of [2013], the primary factor driving my rating is that-- personal preference here-- I just didn't enjoy the layout of the course that much. Yes there were some nice holes, but also a few on terrain not well suited for it, Im talking about holes that dogleg sharply AND have a steep incline.
If I lived in the immediate area, this would be a course to play. I drove some moderate distance and for me, it wasn't worth the drive.
I will say the course looks fairly mundane from the road, but there is "alot more character to it", also in a good way. I found the course challenging, despite the shorter yardage. The views were nice.
The employee in the pro shop was very welcoming. Some of the employees on course were not. Ive never experienced before workers who refuse to move or shut off their machines so you can hit your shot.
They were aerating, but they gave a late season discounted price so I appreciate that. There were 7 or 9 fairways covered with huge aeration plugs. In my past experience Ive dealt with plugs on 2 to 3 holes, but never 7 or 9...

Not a long course, but challenging - greens are quick (rolling 10-11 but I was out there the day after their memebr-guest). Good layout, holes make you really decide between risk/reward shots by penalizing you for misses and really rewarding you for executing. As an example - on the first hole I was able to carry the pot bunker in the middle of the fairway both days and went par-birdie; if I end up in that bunker either day I'm making bogey at minimum. Hazards in landing zones on tee shots, opportunities to cut corners/get aggressive and go low but lots of downside risk if you can't execute.
Great range, practice facilities. Took my time and still finished my (solo, 8am) round in under 4hrs both days.
Excellent course, good value (weekend rates are a bit steep but it's a quality course) - zero complaints other than I only got to...

Booked a Wednesday tee time on Tuesday afternoon. Showed up and was told the front 9 was closed as it was being aerated. No explanation on why I wasn't told this on Tuesday when I reserved my time.
Get out there to realize the back 9 was also aerated and not cleaned up at all. Big chucks of dirt all over the fairways.
After our 1st 9 we wanted to grab a drink as it was getting a little bottle necked due to only having 9 holes open. Bar was closed. We asked the pro shop if they could ring us up for a can of beer in the fridge (nothing that involved any bar tending), simply told not an option.
Extremely disappointed, especially considering the price. My local par 3 course seems to be more on top of things than here.
Nice views though and could imagine on a day they have their stuff together it's a nice course to play, shame I didn't get a chance to experience...
