​Babblers Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Town of Windham

My fiancé and I were in New York recently for a business meeting, and found ourselves with a free evening to spend with friends. Initially, we were apprehensive about driving into the mountains on a rather cold Saturday night, but the reservations our party made at Babbler's made every mile and shiver worth it! To start with, the wine selection was fantastic and we were told it would be growing soon. Our server, Jessica made a fantastic suggestion to pair one of their Chardonnay options with the Butternut Squash Risotto, which, I must say was so delectable and creamy! My fiancé, a meat potatoes man through and through, definitely enjoyed the Steak Frites. Our friends both ordered and loved the Lobster Bisque as well. The atmosphere was absolutely buzzing in the best way possible. We took notice of the good natured attentiveness of every staff member, from the bar to the bus boys. Jessica didn't fail to check in with us at all the right times; no interrupting us mid-forkfull, upselling us in an aggressive manner, or rushing us while we enjoyed the conversation of our company. Would have rated 3.5 stars if you gave halves. Food in general was pretty good, but very limited menu and no specials and a few things were off. Entrees came out before we were done with appetizers even though we specifically asked the waitress to space things out. We also said we were sharing everything and they didn’t come out with serving utensils, had to ask several times before we got them. Waitress highly recommend the burger, but it was average at best. Milanese, the chicken was perfectly cooked however, the accompaniment was lame, no other way to describe it. No arugula salad, “garden vegetables” were thinly sliced cucumber with some peppers and carrots. Fluke was basically potatoes with a side of fluke, albeit delicious. And the steak was the highlight of the evening, nice portion and quite tasty. had to ask several times to get water, not the service level you expect at the price as they’re charging. Manager did come over to discuss our issues and basically said I will talk about it with the kitchen, we have a new menu coming up, nothing to...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Babblers Restaurant and Bar, with my friend and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner.

The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, each crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the grilled salmon, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cocktail menu is equally impressive, with creative and delicious options to suit any palate.

The service was outstanding— I must say Thank you to the beautiful server “ MECKENZIE” She was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She made excellent recommendations and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
