For a 2 star hotel it's comfortable and very adequate. We stayed for 4 days and reserved 2 rooms. Rooms were clean, one of the bathrooms smelled musty, but since that's the place you stay the least amount of time in, it wasn't a big deal and the vent fan helped. The AC unit in the other room seemed to not keep a consistent temp but it was sufficiently cool the entire visit even though we had to keep lowering the temp. There was a small fridge with separate freezer, a plus because this is a larger space to cool items than most hotels. There is a microwave, coffee/tea maker, blow dryer and iron/ironing board in each room. One of our rooms had a small living area separate from the bedroom, a nice plus and the larger of the two parties took that room for the extra space. Breakfast is really great with a large variety. There is always eggs (no cheese added, I loved this because I'm lactose intolerant), some kind of potato (hash browns or cubed potatoes), a meat (sausage links or patties) and two of the mornings there were biscuits with sausage gravy as well. The coffee machine is wonderful as it offers straight black coffee or a measured out selection of specialty coffee choices (cappuccino, cafe late, mocha late, etc...). There are a lot of other options including breads, pastries, oatmeal, hot waffles, juices, hard boiled eggs and fruit. The staff are fantastic about cleaning the dining area with spills and keeping food supplied. One morning the floor was sticky and this distressed them and they immediately began mopping, I expected it to be sticky the next morning and it absolutely was not. There was a storm the first two days and the third day the pools were sparkling when we went to the hot tub. I felt adequately cared for and they were pleasant at the front desk. WiFi is sketchy and the T.V. literally took minutes to turn on and would only turn on when the button on the physical TV was pressed, but the few issues that aren't perfect are hardly anything to complain about. MOST IMPORTANTLY we check for any signs of bugs when we arrive at any hotel, they passed our inspection with flying colors and we had no issues with any bites, such a relief to feel clean and safe when bed bugs are such an...
Read moreI gave this hotel a 2 for its great location (near the mall & restaurants), and front desk staff being cordal. But that's stretching it. If I could give it a zero on housekeeping staff and comfort I would. First, don't plan on getting a restful night sleep. The walls are paper thin. We had a family with a dog next to us. We could hear every conversation, and the child jumping around, not to mention a dog barking throughout the entire stay. But worse is the housekeeping staff. Very rude. The next morning EARLY, we could hear vacuuming up and down the halls and the staff talking loud to other staff throughout the halls. At 9am, a lady knocked loudly at our door with the key card, I jumped up when I heard her opening our door and told her we were still sleeping (oh sorry, sorry....) 35 minutes later (9:35)... the same lady, again, knocked and coming in our room... I told her to stop waking us up! (oh sorry, sorry). Then we finally couldn't get back to sleep. At 1145, we had all our bags packed getting ready to go....Can you believe this lady knocked again and came in again??? My daughter was dressing infront of the door!!!! How RUDE! Check out was at noon. (Not to mention, I could hear her each time knocking on everyone elses door, one right after another). I was on the 2nd floor.... that lady might start earlier on the first floor. Be sure to put your Do Not Disturb note on your door, although I doubt this will help you sleep in with all the intentional morning noise. And back to the housekeeper rudeness, I went down for coffee after breakfast closed - no one I met spoke English. All the staff eats the left over breakfast after it closes, no one would acknowledge me asking for a cup of coffee. Hotel was clean but the hallways smelled. Instructions to turn on the tv are given at the front desk, I still had to...
