LONG REVIEW: We were seated right away and our waitress was adorable! Sweet and bubbly. She brought us our drinks and said she was bringing us bread right out of the oven. Well, the bread arrived lukewarm and we still had no silverware but we didn't complain.
When she returned with our silverware we ordered our meal. I had the LH Burger with American cheese, medium cooked. Instead of fries I ordered a cup of the loaded potato soup. My husband had the salmon and loaded baked potato and a salad.
There were several large parties in the main dining room and we assumed that was what took so long to get our soup and salad. Imagine our surprise when the food server showed up with our main courses before our soup and salad were served. When they finally arrived I stopped our waitress and asked what happened and she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "I guess they got busy in the kitchen." At that time I showed her my well done burger and she offered to take it back but I declined. All I asked was that she let the kitchen staff know it was cooked well-done, not medium. It was also missing the cheese but I still declined her taking it back. She left our table and we never saw her again. I started to eat my just barely warm soup and to be completely honest it tasted like it was made from a soup package with some fresh green onion and some chunks or real baked potato in it but that processed packaged soup flavor was really off-putting. My husband's meal was very good except for the pieces of brown lettuce he pulled out of his salad. Since our waitress never returned, our drinks were never refilled and finally the manager walked by so we asked for our check telling him we had not seen our waitress since our meals were served. He brought us to-go boxes and our bill. He said it waitress had told him about my burger and without our asking he took it off the bill. (My boxed up burger was given to the homeless man outside asking if we had any leftovers we were willing to share.) Our bill came to $27 and I left the waitress a $3 tip. She never said another word to us after our food was served. When you order $16 burger you expect it to be cooked to perfection. When you order the cheese at an extra cost you expect it to show up. When you order soup you expect it to be hot and flavorful. And you should never ever have old, brown pieces of lettuce in your salad.
We will never go back to...
Read moreUPDATED 12/24/17: I have been coming to this location since it opened and always rated with 4 or more stars; however, last night it was a mere 2. I ordered my regular: a 6 oz Renegade and the hubby got a Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich, we also tried the new Firecracker Chicken Wraps.
We were promptly seated upon entry but were met with a smell of sewage when we opened the doors to the restaurant. This smell was stronger in some areas than others. We sat in a booth adjacent to the bathrooms and their was no scent of sewage there. I brought this smell to the attention of the host that sat us and his response was, "I've been here all day I guess I got used to of it." Our waitress was great and prompt with service, refills and our food. She ordered our appetizer and entrees simultaneously and that saved us time.
Now to the entrees, the Renegade is a signature steak that I've NEVER had any issues with until last night. It is a "lean, fresh and grilled to order. Top USDA Choice sirloin generously seasoned with our signature Prairie Dust™, then grilled to perfection. Served with your choice of side and hand-chopped salad" (LongHorn Website, 2017). It was lean, fresh and grilled to order (medium-well, slight pink in the center) but it was not generously seasoned with their usually mouthwatering signature Prairie Dust, as a matter of fact, I'd venture to say they barely put any. I had to layer my steak with table salt and A-1 Steak Sauce, which was not good. The hubby ordered a Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich that looked quite appetizing, he got everything on it except for the mushrooms. It came out aesthetically pleasing but once he bit into it the look on his face said it all. Knowing, he is a picky eater, I asked to taste it and I had the same result. The shaved prime rib was dry and lacked flavor. The bread it was served on was flaking, not stale but not fresh either. For the first time in forever, I couldn't finish my steak...
We got our check, noticed we got the appetizer for free and paid. At that time, Robert their awesome manager came by and I let him know how our meal was. He said he would have it taken care of, and we left.
I definitely won't be back anytime soon to Longhorn. I'm disappointed because I loved their signature seasoning and last night just left me with an...
Read moreMy first time at this restaurant. Family get together for my oldest grand son's 20th birthday surprise. Seemingly started out ok. We waited on a few family members for a little bit. I guess waiting for staff to put our tables together. Once seated, we were informed that we would have two servers..working one side each. Initially we had "reserved" for 15 people. As time went on, 4 didn't make it. As it turned out, we all ended up with only one server. Not exactly sure what was going on with her once she took our orders. She did bring us our drinks and bread loaves and butter which were very good. THAT'S WHERE THE REST OF OUR EVENING WENT BAD. Most salads were wrong. Only some of us actually were served our food and what we ordered. I never received my food until 2 1/2 hours later in a to go container (which I requested) and it wasn't correct. Earlier, we were asked if we wanted more bread (unsolicited by us), we said yes, never got that. Apparently some of our orders were not "sent" via the computer. We sat trying to eat what we did have with dirty dishes around, not picked up till we were getting ready to leave. My son talked to the manager who spent alot of time talking at the bar with patrons. The manager's excuse is that he wasn't aware of the issues were having, he's from California. It's not his store, etc, etc. Instead of getting to the root of the problem, he made excuses. Quite some time later, my son went back to the manager, who "thought" things had been rectified. He obviously didn't follow up. We had a bill of over $300. He wanted to give us 25% discount. My son wasn't having it. The manager finally went to 50%. Angel, the manager, made more excuses. Instead of taking responsibility and making things right without us having to continually complain. To this day I still haven't eaten my dinner from there. While I felt bad for the server, if she was overwhelmed, she should have asked for help as well as follow up on our orders. My "take out" was wrong when she gave it to me. 🤦♀️ we sang happy birthday, at the cupcakes, not the cake, and left very angry and...
