An in-depth review:
Let me just preface this review by saying that I can be a difficult customer to please. I've worked in food service for years, and then got a degree in the field so I have very high expectations of what a food service establishment must be in order for me to give them my money regularly. My four main areas of critique are always the following when evaluating a restaurant: food, service, prices, and cleanliness. If a restaurant lacks in any of these areas, I likely won't return.
I've been eating at this Chik-Fil-A since 2011. My best friend and I used to eat breakfast here together at least once a week when I lived in town, and now that I live out of state, we look forward to breakfasts together as a sign of our reunion when I come to visit.
Service: I love being greeted by Katie and Stephanie when we walk in. Customer service at this particular location has never fallen short. The friendliest, most accommodating staff of any Chik-Fil-A (possibly any restaurant) I've ever been to.
Food: The food is, well, amazing. I really have a hard time even calling it "fast food" because their breakfast is better than any sit-down restaurant in town (I focus on the breakfast in this review, but I love their lunch and dinner menus as well). The biscuits are fluffy, the gravy is flavorful, the hash brown rounds are crispy, the chicken is always freshly fried, and, wait for it, IT'S ALWAYS HOT. I know this seems like something that should be obvious, but the temperature of food has an unbelievable impact on how the customer perceives it (the quality, the taste, etc).
Prices: When I talk about prices, this doesn't mean that the prices have to be cheap. It means that the prices have to correlate with the perceived value of the product. I think that Chik-Fil-A is extremely reasonably priced for the quality and amount of food that you get for it. $7-$8 for a hot breakfast with an iced coffee, served from someone with a smile on their face, is in my opinion, extremely reasonably priced.
Cleanliness: Nothing says "I'm never coming back here again" like finding a hair in your food. Or a bug. Or anything else really gross that should never be a food product that's handled with care. Nothing, and I literally mean nothing, like this has ever happened to any food product that I've ordered from Chik-Fil-A on Oracle. The bathrooms are clean, the floors are clean and free from residue (a sure sign of poor mopping/deck scrubbing), the tables are always wiped down thoroughly, and the property as a whole including the outside is very well maintained.
Overall, Chik-Fil-A meets and exceeds my expectations for everything that a wonderful, quality restaurant should have. I RARELY find all four areas of my critique in A+ standing, and I rarely give 5 star reviews. That being said, I am happy to continue giving my business to Chik-Fil-A on Oracle Road and encourage others to...
Read moreWent in to have food replaced. America took the order after speaking to two diffent Hispanic managers. One of them finally found the note made by Denise, the manager who took my complaint only hours earlier. I asked for no pickles but the manager had to ask me again if I did not want pickles. I also stated I wanted my waffle fries crispy. Told America to tell them use the 1&1/2 minute extra button for the crispy fries. I learned of this button on my first visit to this Chic fil a on their grand opening day, at which I met the owner and her children. I had to send the fries back 2 times to get them crispy. One of the managers, in a red checkered shirt, long black hair proceeded to argue with me that they were fresh and crispy. They were not. She even made a comment about them replacing my food for me, like it was some favor that was being done for me. The food was being replaced because when I ordered it the first time 4 days earlier, it was preparred wrong. No pickles, means No pickle. The two managers on this night were both very rude and condicending. I will not go back to this restaraunt while either of those managers are working. The food, when done properly is out of this world. The management staff on the other hand would possibly be better at not dealing with customers. They both have...
Read moreI was in parking lot for this location & was asked to wait to hear a call being placed by a delivery driver to Chick-Fil-A to pick up an order. I agreed, so happened to hear a call between the delivery driver and a Chick-Fil-A employee when the driver arrived to pick up the order. As the Disability Act has provision for those with certain disabilities not to wear a mask, the driver stated request & why for the order to be brought outside. The employee violated the rights of this driver by condenscensing attitude, expressed the driver should contact their employer (driver is an independant contractor) because they are violating a mask mandate, & is completely wrong to work while social distancing, washing hands often, and in compliance with the mask mandate due to health conditions. The driver is well within his legal right to file complaint with the Federal Government which could lead to a large fine on Chick-Fil-A on Oracle due to this being a harassment of a person who has underlying health condition which a mask causes severe breathing struggles. I left without placing an order and will NEVER go to Chick-Fil-A again. Employees there discriminate against those with disabilities just trying to...
