I expect to feel like a guest at a hotel. This was more like a ‘do it yourself’ rent-a-bed. We had to deal with our own trash and hunt down towels for ourselves. Even with repeated requests to the front desk for towels and a bar of soap, it didn’t happen. Good thing we had shampoo etc in our bags as there was not enough for two adults to use for a week. Housekeeping came once after we complained, but then left only one set of towels so we were off to find another set ourselves. The breakfast buffet was so bad. It was eggs, mystery meat and cold French fries. No coffee maker in the room and the coffee grounds at the buffet must have been reused as when I poured a half & half cup in my coffee the mug turned white. The milk for the cereal was 4 days past its due date. The pool & hot tub were closed by the County Health department due to pollutants & poor water quality. The room we stayed in had such overpowering odors of paint and dank carpet that if we raised the room temperature higher than 62, the smell was horrible. The sheets didn’t fit the beds, no mattress pads, odd stains and rips in the bedding, tv remote had low batteries, no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Shall I go on? The location near the airport was perfect, but please love yourself and book at the Marriot, Holiday Inn or Radisson within a half mile of this hotel. There was one positive: One positive… They had beautiful sour orange trees. Oranges Made for a good air freshener when jammed...
Read moreI had been debating giving this hotel 3-4 stars since I got here. There are some very good features to it that make it feel like they are really trying. But then other really crappy stuff that makes it feel like a very run-down hotel. I'll try to list out the pros and cons, and you can determine what is more important:
Pros: Very good fitness room with free weights and helpful posters that give you ideas for what exercises you can do. -Covered parking spots! I was able to get the room at a competitive price (even though it was only because I bought it through a 3rd party site). Service was always friendly. The free breakfast was very good, albeit always the same dishes being served. Bed was very comfortable.
Cons: Floor is really worn out and makes any walking around anyone does very loud. Shower and sink both immediately back up with any use. Hallways look like they're about to be remodeled and look torn up. TV just randomly stops working. Door to my room is messed up, and I have to physically lift it up to close properly. Small laundry room only has 1 washer and 1 dryer and 1 of them was broken. Ice machine is very far from some of the rooms.
I won't be coming back, but I have had way worse experiences at hotels. It's kind of a mediocre hotel with some very good features...
Read moreWarning to anybody wanting to stay at this place, find a newer hotel in the same area. It was 110 outside and I think they have the air on 85° in the entire hotel . The hallways were hot and I was actually sweating. When I got to my room, the AC was not on and it was about 90° in the room.
The towels were dirty and the toilet had droppings around the lid like it had never been cleaned. The chairs have stains all over them and mystery stains on the wall that almost looked like blood. I was tired and did not feel like going to another place, so I turned the air down to 60 to try to cool the room down. Went to go get some ice for my drinks, and the machines were broken .
Four hours later, it was still unbearable in the room. I grabbed my bag and went down to let them know how disgusting their place is and why they would not have the air conditioning on in the place. The guy had no answer and basically shrugged his shoulders. He said I can give you another room and I said no thanks! I said the temperature in this place is unbearable and I can’t believe you guys would not have the AC running for your guest. They refused to give me my money back and an acted like I was the problem. Stay away from here!!!! The low rating...
