This last experience, staying at this hotel, has been the most disastrous and the worst experience ever, and I make it public, because I have serious doubts about whether "giving us terrible service" was deliberate, I state the following: We have an easy time more than 20 years, staying at this hotel, which we consider the best option, it is next to the Tucson airport, it is comfortable, the included breakfast is ideal, and above all the CUSTOMER SERVICE, it had been excellent, they gave us, a special discount, due to the fact that we were Mexican, we returned to stay here, for obvious reasons, but tonight, IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER LIVED IN THIS HOTEL. Since the moment we arrived to register, an Anglo-Saxon woman attended us, when I asked (in English) for a single room, she told me that there were many guests and that she would see if she had availability, but that surely there was, so I asked her for a single room on the bottom, She told me ishe has one and gave us the first one at the entrance to the hotel. Since we arrived we noticed CHAOS IN THE LOBBY, because they are remodeling their facilities, the kitchen and the dining room and the lobby, from what could be seen, we decided to ignore that inconvenience, but the "superb" attitude of the woman when serving us Since we arrived, it was obvious, he told me - I have a room on the ground floor, but it costs $220.00 dollars (approximately, I don't remember the exact amount) per night, plus taxes, ok?, with an expression on his face as if she doubted that We could pay, I replied that there was no problem and after searching in the system, she gave us THE WORST LOCATED ROOM, in front of the kitchen and immediately other rooms that were also being remodeling, they took the tables off from the dining room to the lobby, but we didn’t mind, because we would only stay there one night, I couldn”t sleep and Rest all night long 😡 YOU LOST A VERY VALUABLE CLIENT.

As stated in the previous posts, this hotel is going through a renovation. I was fortunate and was given a room that has been redone already and turned out great. Everything in the room was new, clean, and modern. The entry to hotel looks to still need work, but seems like everything is coming out great. Workers can be seen throughout property working. The breakfast can be better. Only complaint i had was breakfast didnt seem fresh and dining area was small. Also, since construction going on, the parking was scarce and entry to building was limited only to front of hotel.

Hotel was in need of repair and remodel. Felt run down. Not up to the standards I’d expect for Holliday Inns to be at. Also, location was less than ideal, “near the airport” but not much else. The customer population was also subpar; I had youth running up and down the hallway with some even knocking on doors periodically throughout the evening. Had to call the front desk to address the issue. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

When I arrived the gal at the front desk was having a personal call and I had to wait.

I am allergic to dust and the property was so full of dust, I ended up coming home with a cold.

The food was decent, the workers here are not friendly or customer service oriented.

On departure day,

As I was waiting for the elevator on the 3rd floor, I heard alot of laughing coming from the one room closes to the elevator, and then one of the maids came out laughing and running out the door. Then another maid shortly came out laughing and playing, and saw me and she turned around like nothing and went back inside. Very unprofessional.

I waited at the front desk longer then I should have had to wait, and no one to be found, I said Anyone home? no response. I went to the back office and said HELLO IS ANYONE AVAILABLE. NO RESPONSE. Even though I could hear voices in the back, I called a few times.

Good customer service would say " I WILL BE RIGHT WITH YOU" its called acknowledgement.

There were two employees outside talking to a guy in a white truck, they were laughing and talking, one gal did see me, as she glanced inside, gut then quickly turned away. I stood by the exit door and they did not acknowledge me at all.

Then the office manager I believe walked out, with another gentlemen as they were laughing. She never apologized for the wait, just checked me out, she knew I was upset. But didnʻt say anything. Such poor costumer service. The place was a mess!!! usually if you know your going to have dust flying around, usually they would of covered the entrance area to avoid dust flying into the lobby, but nothing. They had a blower going but it just made things worse, in my opinion.

AS I was leaving the manager joined the two gals talking to the guy in the truck, as if nothing happened.

She just joined into the conversation. Not urgency in their actions.

I donʻt think they take pride in customer service. It's a very laid back property, none of the employees were friendly. Not a property I would go back too.

I gained business there, and will be coming back 3-4x a year, I spoke to a friend she was worried about the service. She advised me that this property had the better service. Which worries me, if this was poor service, I guess I will have to look into other properties that will welcome...

I am a former IHG customer that stayed between 100-140 nights a year and I’ve never had a truly poor experience until this last stay. When I called and made my reservation it was not disclosed to me that the hotel was under construction. If I would have known this, I would have made reservations elsewhere and would have had my team do the same.

During my stay there was constant drywall dust and construction debris, such as tubs in the hallway, not to mention drilling, hammering, and other construction noises all throughout the day that made it extremely difficult to sleep (as I often have to sleep during the day due to an inconsistent work schedule) or have conference calls in the afternoon. The dust greatly aggravated my allergies which made sleep even more difficult. Another major problem I had was with the fitness room also being closed during renovations. I have always enjoyed utilizing the fitness room at the hotel daily when on my business trips, so that I can continue my regular fitness routine while I am away from home. Finally, on Wednesday the 12th, the water was shut off on me without notice and was off from 7am-2pm.

Out of frustration, I ended up contacting IHG customer support to voice my concerns. However, they seemed disinterested and referred me back to the hotel, and stated someone would contact me within 24 hours. No one ever contacted me, and if they did while I was flying they did not leave a message. I was not looking for a refund or a discount. A sincere apology and token gesture such as rewards points or something from the market, which would have cost them next to nothing, and would have easily pacified me, along with an explanation on why I was not informed about the construction beforehand. After not hearing anything for days, I called and cancelled all of my upcoming reservations at IHG products. To the operator’s credit she did offer me some reward points, but by that point I felt the gesture was too little too late.

As a previously loyal IHG customer, I would have expected more. I write this in hopes that situations like mine will be better handled...

I had almost the perfect time at the Holiday Inn Express near Tucson Airport. The rooms were clean, the hot tub, pool, and gym were available, and almost all of the staff was amazing. The worst part was that I had the female (can’t remember name) general manager literally banging on my door before my checkout time. I was under the impression it was the police; due to how aggressive the banging was, so I opened the door and here stood a 60 year old lady with the most disrespectful tone in her voice I’ve experienced in years. She demanded with much aggression that my girlfriend and I pack our things immediately and leave the premises. I calmly explained to her that the women at the front desk said I could have a 3pm checkout. She literally gets 6 inches from my face and yells, “I don’t care what she told you. Pack your stuff and get out”! I told her I’d pack my things and have a conversation up front with her about her attitude. As I arrive to the front minutes later, she refuses to come out of the back office until maybe 10 minutes of me standing there waiting. I ask her, “Why are you banging on my door at 2:30 when my checkout is at 3:00?” On my mothers grave she said, “It was actually 2:40 and I did it because my housekeeper told me to.” I said , if my checkout is at 3pm, you’re not permitted to bang on my door demanding I leave early because you want to throw a tantrum. The younger lady was very nice and polite. But I’ve never wanted to knock out an old lady in my entire life before until then. I stayed there 04-03-2024 to 04-04-2024. I hope this reaches the owner because the next guest might not as forgiving as me. To the owner, please give the younger girl with the dark hair and piercings a $20 raise if she’s gotta deal with someone like that as a GM. Disgusted. Hope she reads this too and you damn well I didn’t lie about a SINGLE word I just stated. Feel free to check the cameras. My confirmation number for the stay...
